Exactly. That's how silly the 40°C that many keep bleeting on about. Has anyone in this thread said they want 40°C? Or has it only been mentioned by the people that oppose a normal summers day?

I'd me more than happy for no-one to mention silly high temperatures again. No-one wants them. It's (some of) those wanting 15 that seem to think it's a good point to make?!

I don't mind it, better than even high 20s for me.

I don't mind the temperature, as long as it's above about 8°C, it's the rain that stops me from cycling when I've not been able to all week because of work, that I don't like

I was only really engaging in this GD logic of "you don't like X so you must like Y!" (or "it's better than Y", yes, we all agree on that) as their best argument, when X and Y are polar opposites with many states in between. I guess it gets a little tyring after a while.

The one positive is at least inside feels nice currently 22c instead of the +25c such a difference from that muggy humid feeling

Popped to the garden centre this morning and was very lucky to be loading the car in between the massive downpours. Grim out there, no wonder it’s so quiet. I guarantee September will be glorious.
