i had a similar problem with an indicator, caught it walking past and it cracked the fairing, £200+ to replace :(

Yeh the prices that are charged nowadays for some parts really is an eye opener. I know the oem mirrors for my bike are around £200 each, decent aftermarket one's are about £500 a pair.

My two more interesting cars, one is for sale but proving difficult to shift with time wasters.

Gave the car a very quick wash before work yesterday, literally just a jetwash shampoo (carpro reset) rinse and dry. Just nipped out to get something from the garage and had to take a video as the paintwork just looks amazing still under the garage lights:

Ceramic really does make it easier to make a quick clean look like you've spent hours on it!
looking good - nice polish

Post an ad with pictures of the inside, outside, engine bay, sills, arches, chassis rails, and underside, write a description 5 paragraphs long, make sure to include what engine it has, when the belt was done, and what diff it has, and ignore anyone who asks anything aside from "when can I come to view it/buy it please?"

Thats pretty much how I had to sell all my MX5s for this reason.. :p

Too many 17 year olds who want it but can't insure it, drifters who want it for 200 quid and assure you thats all its worth, people who expect it to be absolutely immaculate and not have any surface rust anywhere despite it being an MX5, the list goes on... Without even mentioning the ones who can't read and the ones who want to swap you a Fiesta and an Xbox (see; 17 year olds) :o

Not at the minute, everything has a price mind.

I buy them for export but I generally go for the cars with the "I'm absolutely desperate to shift it so please take it off my hands" type of prices rather than the "everything has a price" type of prices so I won't bother you any further. :D

Good luck with the MX5 sale!

problem is there are far too many mx5 around in every condition possible. I mean there is currently 1,024 for sale on autotrader alone.

Mark 1s are now worth up to £15k as they are "classics" and their prices keep rising.

Mark 2s range from £800 sheds to £12k immaculate examples.

Then there around about 80 different specials editions over the years, some worth looking out for, others not so much.

Plus there are then some cars which are still untouched and plenty that have had "upgrades"

So yeah its a minefield buying or selling a MX5

People try to ask that much but I don't see them selling.

I saw an immaculate looking R-Limited for 6K not long ago.

It is a minefield, but a detailed advert will quickly show people whether or not its what they are looking for. :)

Would you say it's a buyers marker or a sellers market right now ? I would think buyers market as lots of people are struggling financially.
