I actually think that Chelsea are going to get both Caicedo and Lavia , which means we've only got 3 weeks to find and sort out 1 or preferably 2 alternatives. they know the acceptable terms for Caicedo deal that brighton want, all they have to do is match it, instead we've had yet another 'going to bid soon' load and they now need another keeper now with kepa ******* off on loan, theres no way they can spend another 170+ on those 2 and get a keeper without breaking the PL's profit and sustainability rules - hell, I dont think they can get spend what it will take to get Caicedo without breaking those rules..

The PLs rules are a joke, only thing thats more of a joke is the PLs ability to actually enforce their rules. Chelseas lawyers are almost as good as Man Citys lawyers, if Chelsea want those 2 players, they'll get them irrespective of what the PL rules say. Right now, as it stands, I'd be willing to bet any amount of my money that Caicedo will join Chelsea.

Yeah im sure we'll wake up and they will have finally made a fresh bid that will be more then ours..

They won’t be breaking any of the rules though. Even lets say they’re really struggling to get find a way of doing it they can just loan him and pay it it next year.

I didnt know anything at all about Tonali to be able to judge if he is worth 55m, so I didnt comment on him. I do know about Rice and Caicedo though (neither in an ideal world are worth 100m+)

Unless I’ve missed it - I think most people have been discussing the big teams, not Newcastle?

I do Like both mind!! What happened to Kone or Thuram? Thought they were nailed on for Liverpool?
 
I'm surprised we've not gone for someone like Ndidi. Known quantity, presumably wouldn't be ridiculously expensive, and would leave some money in the bank for another signing if someone appropriate came up
 
Reddy still says it’s only our bid that’s accepted so Chelsea have had 2 further days and apparently not offered anything else officially

Yet other reports say they have. If I was managing our transfer this point I’d be like let us proceed or we do withdraw and go get some one else.

Has Caicedo accepted your offer? There won't be a medical until that happens. I don't see how it has anything to do with brighton.
