Russia’s using cluster munitions on Ukrainian territory in a war of conquest they started, Ukraine’s using them on their own territory to drive out an invader that’s tortured, murdered and deported thousands of their citizens while knowing the risk those munitions pose. There’s a difference.

Wannabe US presidential candidate says his goal is for Putin to either win the war or result in a truce. He says he will work towards letting Putin keep the 4 regions he annexed and also block Ukraine from moving West and he says he will happily visit Putin in Moscow

That's democracy though. Like it or not, some people are going to have a different opinion, regardless how idiotic.
Hopefully their actual real world voting support isn't half as much as the bots on twitter would have you believe.

Yes but he's able to influence millions and I wouldn't put it past him to use Twitter to help his preferred candidate and hurt those he doesn't want to win.

That actually is his strategy. It's a lot less funny than people may think.
If he throws enough bodies at it, he might be able to force a stalemate.
This is true but it's also omitting the most important parts of the information.
1: The "use by Ukraine" in 2014 consisted of Russian backed Ukrainian separatists (reinforced by Russian soldiers on vacation, the Kremlins actual explanation for their presence) firing them on the Ukrainian military and their bases.
2: While it's claimed that the Ukrainian military fired some back in response this has never been proven as the only evidence was casings from rockets that "could" carry cluster munitions.
3: In any case neither side was accused of using cluster bombs, they were accused of using MRLS cluster munitions, which isn't great but it's significantly better than cluster bombs as they actually hit the troops/tanks they're supposed to.
4: Ukraine didn't start using US made cluster bombs until 2022, after Russia had already been using them for some time.
Finally you're attempt to make out that both sides are just as bad falls flat due to the fact one side is an invading horde and the other is defending it's home. If a drug addict brakes into a mans house and stabs him and his family to death would you say that they were both just as bad because the man grabbed a knife from the kitchen to try and defend himself and his family?

He could, however it would cost Russia massively. I think Putin would need all those tanks the Ukrainians have turned to scrap for him to make a massive set of iron curtains. He’s already set Russian on path that will set them back 40 years.
