I don't suppose there is an easy map somewhere showing the areas liberated by Ukraine since the start of 2023 and the new areas captured by Russia in the same period?

This shows the front line, day to day since the start of the war. The North East looks mostly static, with attack / counter attack and very little gains, loss for either side.

voila

That does somewhat reinforce the idea that the gains are minimal compared to the amount of land required to kick RU out. However, there are great swaves of UA without anyone or anything. Once breaking a line, the retaken land would look much bigger albeit just crossing an empty stretch of land. UA is mostly flat as pancake.

Does anyone have any updates about Skynex ? I know 2 were sent to Ukraine, and last i heard they are very very effective against drones?

Hence why attacking behind the front lines could be so beneficial. The more forces Russia have to pull to the front, the less remaining to hold the rear.

Just like how Wagner were able to march half way to Moscow uncontested. Behind the front, there's very little to stop you.

What absolute nonsense. Russia is an embarassment on the world stage, and it's getting utterly humiliated on the battlefield.

Russia is now largely fighting a defensive war, they're dug in behind layers of mines, trenches, with artillery pre-sighted in. They're fighting a war they are absolutely comfortable with fighting, they can leverage their superior man power and use their biggest strength which is their artillery. They're not good at the type of combined warfare we can do, but they are good at what they're currently doing. The belief Russia are still taking massive losses compared to Ukraine is simply misplaced, it's not true. Ukraine will be taking more losses than Russia simply because they're the ones now forced to fight offensively. Why do you think they're currently being humiliated? On what basis?

Utter nonsense, Russian forces are shambles of forced conscription murderously using barrier troops.

Once the Ukrainians understand the level and structure of the Russian minefields, the Russians could easily be overwhelmed and routed out.

I don't think there is a structure to their minefields. just fire mine laying shells in an area until run out and you move onto the next.

Your posts are just not connected with reality.

You not aware Russia shelled it's own troops who retreated from a failed counter attack on Robotyne? It was no accident Russia has two drones watching the whole operation and when the soldiers started running back to their lines they corrected the artillery to fall on the retreating men, nobody from the Russian army denies this either.
