Maybe you wish they were because of your political beliefs.
Fact is the Russian military is dysfunctional, corrupt to the core and failing.

You not aware Russia shelled it's own troops who retreated from a failed counter attack on Robotyne? It was no accident Russia has two drones watching the whole operation and when the soldiers started running back to their lines they corrected the artillery to fall on the retreating men, nobody from the Russian army denies this either.Your posts are just not connected with reality.
Even if they aren't, they are still closer to your own spoon-fed claims.Your posts are just not connected with reality.
Wow, you actually have the cheek to type that outYour posts are just not connected with reality.
So that's the definition of 'winning' now.Russia is now largely fighting a defensive war, they're dug in behind layers of mines, trenches, with artillery pre-sighted in.
Yes, Ukraine defended Kyiv in the initial weeks of the war stopping the attempt to decapitate the Ukrainian government. And that was early 2022. We're now at the back end of 2023 and Russia controls most of the East and South East of Ukraine, the offensive hasn't retaken much ground despite all the hype around Western equipment and training, and for the ground Ukraine has recaptured they've taken heavy losses (as the BBC alluded to https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-66581217). We're now heading into Winter which could see most of those losses reversed and Russia consolidate the gains they've made.
Strategically Russia has secured Crimea which gives them access to the Black Sea, they control the Eastern parts of Ukraine where largely Russian speaking folk live, and they've secured a land bridge to Crimea. Ukraine actually doesn't have a military big enough to retake this land, they've suffered something like 25% casualties to regain some tiny bulge of land. They can't afford to lose that many men and have a force able to defend the rest of their country. I'm not here to cheer Russia on, I'm here to give people a reality check. The war needs to end because it's unwinnable, it's damaging all our economies.
On top of that the West over leveraged ourselves politically and we've pushed a lot of fringe nations away because they're now scared of us after seeing the sanctions we put on Russia. No one now wants to be under the thumb of the US financial system because it can and will be used as a weapon if they step out of line, so you'll see a lot of them move towards Brics. This whole thing is a complete mess and a failure of leadership.
So that's the definition of 'winning' now.
How long you got till that next wave of mobilization happens. Keep up the good work, you might manage to avoid it.
Problem is we were not directly at threat until we got involved.I wonder how many British lives Roar thought it would have been worth losing in WW2 before he started chickening out and wanting to capitulate to the Germans.

They are more effective at clearing than Russia at defending
In the UK we use an 's' in words like mobilisation. Maybe you're looking to be conscripted for the American army though.
What is this based on?
Maybe you should stop making arguments for capitulation to tyrant fighting a losing war the world attempted to avoid.
The US army, like the rest of the civilised and peace respecting world, is a volunteer force. You volunteer yourself to serve your nation willingly…
All men aged 18-25 are eligible for conscription in the US Army, they must be registered by law incase there was ever a need, the last draft was Vietnam though. Obviously Ukraine is currently drafting men, who are not allowed to leave the country, though I'm sure you didn't mean to exclude them from the civilised and peace respecting world, needs must.
