Honestly, these 2 should be standardised across all games and the entire industry.

I agree. There is one other rule I think is needed: all store items must be priced in the local currency, e.g anything you buy in game should be priced in pounds. Games should never sell artificial currency to players that's then used to buy items

There is online games where you have to buy diamonds currency with pounds, then convert diamonds into platinum at a vendor, then exchange platinum for titanium and use titanium to buy items in the in game store. Pure ridiculousness - it's done this way to make it harder for players to understand what they are getting for their money

Bought more games cheap…

Need for Speed™ (Game)
Need for Speed™ Payback - Deluxe Edition (Game)
Need for Speed™ Heat Deluxe Edition (Game)
Need for Speed™ Hot Pursuit Remastered (Game)
GRID Legends PS4 & PS5 (Game)
Quake (Game)
The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe (Game)
DiRT Rally 2.0 (Game)
DIRT 5 Year One Edition PS4 & PS5 (Game)
Assetto Corsa (Game)

Assetto Corsa really needs some fiddling, to get it right on controller - otherwise it's just frustrating, which is a shame, as it feels like Project Cars 2

Finished GTAV today, that is I manipulated the stock market post endgame to get 1.1billion on each char so they could buy anything they wanted. It was only then did I realise....there seems to be significantly less vehicles to purchase than I remember. Did Rockstar remove a lot of the standard cars?

No that’s what I mean. I’ve been able to play online fine, which is odd if my ps plus has expired.
Several multiplayer games have their own dedicated servers so don't require PS Plus eg. Fortnite, Rocket League, CoD Warzone, Final Fantasy 14 etc. I believe the EA sports games also fall into that category. If this wasn't the case I think Sony would lose a lot of customers ... it's a bit of a scam, in my opinion, they charge for access to online/cloud saves.

Hmm could have sworn the lad couldn’t play EAFC not so long ago when his ps plus ran out. I’m confused :D

Definitely a scummy move, I agree. Basic online functonality and cloud saves should be free. Then you can add subscription tiers if you want games/extras on top of that. For games that are primarily about online like competitive fighters it just adds monthly cost on top of buying the game so it makes more sense to just play them on PC where all of that is free and the games themselves can be bought cheaper.

Kids got a PS5 at Christmas, they have Xbox series X as well as that's what their mates have.

Is it me or does the image quality on the PS5 blow the Xbox out of the water?

I'm not talking resolution, more general image pop on my q80t TV on the same hdmi port.
