The Outer Wilds.
Tried around the time Shillup went bonkers for it, I could see the appeal but couldn't be bothered with the control style and hazards. Also went off on my own exploring whatever took my fancy which didnt help with the feeling of progress

The narrative exposition is similar to Talos Principle, in that you're reading the words of others, but it's all to advance the story and get you interacting with the solar system. In many ways it can appear as a simple game - basic graphics, small mario galaxy style planets, but the more you play through it the more you realise how intricate and well structured the environments are, with a lot of very significant gameplay driving qualities that vary from one to another.
