What are the 30 year old plus gamers playing?

A bit bored with Skyrim, Fallout etc; I started Silent Hunter 3 again a few weeks ago, really enjoying it, now at the start of 1942 and finding it a little tougher particularly since the jangling of all the crews medals must give our position away when the pesky escorts are after us. Determined to get to the end of the war.

Stalker is a game that passed me by. One that I reckon I would like.

Can anyone recommend any mods mostly for visuals as I wouldn't mind having a play of this myself etc.
I haven't played the Stalker games but see a regular poster on Mac Rumors often posting about the series with links to mods. Tempted me to buy it as it looks good!

Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic.

Essentially it's Cities Skylines with a Russian theme but far more in depth in terms of micro managing just about everything.

Still in Early Access and if you want the campaign need to activate the Beta branch. However it's very absorbing and compelling and a complete time soak.

What are your thoughts on 'Satisfactory'? ...... I'm debating giving it a bash as it's on sale right now.

It's a good time sink you can make your factory's as complicated or as simple as you want the later stages can get a bit of a head scratcher at times

It does start really slow at 1st but once you get your basic resources automated it does speed up

The Outer Wilds.

Tried around the time Shillup went bonkers for it, I could see the appeal but couldn't be bothered with the control style and hazards. Also went off on my own exploring whatever took my fancy which didnt help with the feeling of progress

This time I followed all the nudges and clues to the letter, and I am really enjoying it. The narrative exposition is similar to Talos Principle, in that you're reading the words of others, but it's all to advance the story and get you interacting with the solar system. In many ways it can appear as a simple game - basic graphics, small mario galaxy style planets, but the more you play through it the more you realise how intricate and well structured the environments are, with a lot of very significant gameplay driving qualities that vary from one to another.

I'm currently playing Valheim with a few friends, which is fun. Also playing some PGA TOUR 2K23 here and there, as well as some Poker with said friends on Vegas Infinite. Started the second game in the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, having played the first a number of years ago...I didn't play them on the PS1 so it's all new.
