Rebel Moon | Netflix

The first half (quarter?) of the 2nd part was garbage (lol farming, lol grain leverage) but the battle itself was mostly alright. The 40K-esque bolter guns are cool, the coal powered interstellar ships are dumb but sort of dig the steampunk anyway and the robot's eventual usage was questionably decent.

Thought the whole film was garbage even the battle 3/10 . 1st film was miles better :)

I was curious to check out part 1 due to the look of that spider creature, the harmada.

Aside from some enjoyable special effects and CGI, I soon lost interest after a while, though.

August 2nd for directors cut

Aw hell yeah!!!!!!

I know I'm the odd one out but, like his Justice League cut which I thought was stunning vs the gash theatrical version, I'm hoping this will do the same be elevate what I think is an OK film into something way superior - Although I know I say that as an unabashed Snyder-ophile which generally gets people annoyed in here :D

EDIT - It would be funny if it was just the whole film in Slow-mo though, even the already slow-mo parts as well in even further slow-mo :D :D:D :D:D :D:D :D:D :D:D :D:D :D:D :D:D :D

Mate you have the most inconsistent critique with movies/shows on here. This cements you as a clown ;)

Oh no, I'm not "consistent"!!!! Well I guess I must be a human after all then and not a cyborg sent back from the future with AI programming that never alters and remains "consistent".........................Damn, and cyborgs were so cool too :(

Delve further into the mythology and madness of Zack Snyder’s epic sci-fi saga in the viciously sexier, bloodier world of REBEL MOON - CHAPTER ONE: CHALICE OF BLOOD and REBEL MOON – CHAPTER TWO: CURSE OF FORGIVENESS.

Certainly more shots in this trailer that didn't make it into the original movies.

Certainly robot nipples were the thing I had picked out as likely to make the difference between the films being good and bad

I wonder how different the actual stories are going to be there seemed to be some fairly major looking elements I don't remember from the original cuts? The big cyborg/robot lady, for example. The more graphic violence might look a little better, but I don't see how it's actually going to improve things?

Is it getting released to critics in advance?

Eugh, how many times does ZS need directors cuts. His Justice League was better but still not a great film and lots of long drawn out unecessary scenes (singing for Aquaman for example). I've said it several times over many years but he only does a decent job due to having the story written in another source. 300, Watchmen, Dawn of the Dead etc already had their stories laid out and his best films.

Adding more gore and sex to Rebel Moon won't make it any less derivative. He has a good visual style which he stuck to a bit to firmly ie slow-mo but beyond that his directing is less and his writing/storytelling is pretty bad.
