I think it's important to recognise being arrested in the UK doesn't have the same implication as it does in the US.

Meanwhile team Tommy have a long and not very varied history of their "protests" being little more than an excuse to beat other people up (including the police).

It's almost like the police vary their tactics depending on the actions and known past behaviour of the people involved, and have learned from the past that it's often better to arrest people later if they're not an immediate threat.

Well that's contradicted by posts above claiming the police arrested loads of people during the BLM protests. Which absolutely were not peaceful with huge amounts of criminal damage for a start.

Reacting differently to people based upon previous experience? Sounds a bit like prejudice. I thought that was bad? Wouldn't let the BLM lot see you saying that!

Protests in London have been largely peaceful but were marred by scuffles outside Downing Street.

Two officers were seriously injured, including a Mounted Branch officer who was knocked from her horse when it hit a set of traffic lights whilst appearing to bolt.

You think they were implying she knocked herself off her horse?

There seems to be a lot more protests being organised around the country. The nearest city to me has one called "enough is enough" planned for Friday at 7pm outside the city hall. Tens of thousands have joined the group, had a quick look at it out of curiosity before leaving because many of the messages are difficult to read due to the level of spelling and grammar on display and every other message mentions Muslims or anyone of a different colour.

We'll see how many actually show up, hopefully the police are prepared.

Considering the sizes of those marches the amount of disorder was much lower. Seems the few hundred of these 'enough is enough' types that are protesting are actually just out for a brawl.

The thing is, unless you were there, or more importantly, have seen the footage of all these arrests and what led up to them, or have the reports of them, you cannot say for sure whether they were justified or not.

I'm seeing comments all over social media this morning from people screaming about two-tier policing because of a few short clips they've seen.

It's nonsense to claim that "our dog crap police force currently arresting pretty much anyone" after watching one or two short clips of arrests from last night's events.
