This is why people are losing respect for the police...

Neither was the guy who got kicked in the face. He wasn't white either. Shock!

Yeah and people were literally protesting about that. The home secretary condemned the police and apologised. There was a lot of political grovelling.

I can almost certainly guarantee we won't see any of that related to this.

Surely you now understand the background behind all that? It’s not like it hasn’t been widely publicised.

Why are you sticking up for violent scumbags? Why do you care if such people get a taste of their own medicine? Do you cry when a gang member gets stabbed? Live by the sword, die by the sword.

Come on, use your brain.

"Bloke literally just stood there" in the short clip we see.

Who knows what happened before the footage starts.

Lets face it, its always this. Lets edit the clip for a different view. I mean Manchester airport proved this just the other day.
If you refuse to follow police instruction (like move along) then you risk being arrested.
Like I said in these situations they just move you and de-arrest.

How many got arrested the other night when loads were throwing bricks and wheely bins and causing criminal damage?

I wonder if that tenderised gammon fella asked the Police to investigate who hit him with bricks ;)

The police arrested 4 at the time but each arrest would take police off the streets. Much better to evidence gather and arrest at a later date.

The Muppet that got bricked is a local painter and decorator who was at the Vigil earlier calling for Unity... Muppet. He went to hospital for his injuries and was arrested whilst there. He can say goodbye to getting any work in the area for sure. And he and any others identified will be receiving lengthy bans from Southports pubs and restaurants.

There’s cringe and then there’s this. Come on fella, you’re better than that surely?

IIRC the word originates with the Spectator.

Thanks.

Yeah I guess if you have a numbers issue (as the police clearly did) then as long as your sure you have good enough evidence you can arrest later.
Making arrests can fan the flames as well.

The painter and decorator is pretty mad then. When people get stressed their true form often comes out thats for sure.

How did you derive all that from that post?

I guess I need to spell it out to you.

The way that all unfolded (the airport incident) looked really bad from one video. The second video later realeased added context.

This is why using videos is risky because they don't always tell the complete picture. Which is what Dis86 is doing.

Quite how that means I'm sticking up for violent scumbags, I'm not sure but crack on.

He looked drunk to me. Drunk people do stupid **** and I speak from experience, though I've never done anything that stupid.

Theres loads that are being id'd by the community, Including a local Ex Copper.

The effort from local businesses and the local community has been amazing, Everyone has been chipping in and trying to their bit to help rebuild. The area of the riots is 99% back to fixed with support for the local Mosque (that many locals didn't even know existed until the other day) and their community being a priority. Offers of security for Friday prayers to help ease any worry with kids etc being in attendance.

To be fair whilst many on here ‘fell’ for the it looks a bad video. The tik tok generation perhaps. The facts behind the video were clear at the time and yet duly ignored so the police brutality narrative could be played out.
