I think there are some "good prices" right now. I've just bought:
Whisky Exchange - Clynelish GoT version for £33.95
Douglas Laing - Big Peat Sherry Storm for £37.50 & Big Peat Christmas Edition Sherry for £35.00
That is a shame. Though I've never bought a bottle, as each time I've gone to go and buy one I've been completely lost at the choices plus the relatively high price tag for an unknown, unaged entity.alass one of the most interesting distilleries, has gone bust

it a pity i really liked what they were trying to do, and their whiskey, hopefully some one will buy them out.
That kind of reliable booze supply is so good.Every year I get a 10 year Laphroaig from the Mother in law, this year is no exception. Will have a dram later.
Yup. My girlfriends parents are pretty reliable for that too. That kind of reliable booze supply is so good.

@Hagar not to upset the apple cart but have you tried the Quarter Cask. It’s amazing value and I think I rate it over the 10. Hint for next year?![]()
Just had a peruse of their website and it all comes across as vacuous and waffle heavy. Naming their offerings things like 'Biodynamic' and 'Organic Gaia' and descriptions like this:alass one of the most interesting distilleries, has gone bust

Ardbeg 10 is a class dram. Not trying to do anything too clever, just really nicely made whisky with big flavour.Picked up an Ardbeg 10 the other week for Burns night, £51. My first Ardbeg and quite impressed so far. Wanted a new bottle of Lagavulin 16 but its gone back up to ~£80 a bottle at the moment cant seem to find any decent deals on it. bearing in mind I'm sure I paid £60 a bottle this time last year. I'll wait!
I was just gifted a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label.
Never been much of a Whisky guy, but I'll let you know my thoughts. And I'll try to be a little more descriptive than "yep, that's whisky".

Rarely see that one reduced. Look out for Benrinnes 15, even better though maybe a shade more £.Not long finished a bottle of The Balvenie Doublewood, very nice, would love another in the near furture. Does this ever appear in supermarket deals? £50 a bottle is a lot (to me).
