Winter Transfer window 24/25

I think Rashford will do quite well at Villa. He will want to get a move to a bigger club come summer and the only way he does that is if he starts scoring goals. His time at United was over. He had become too comfortable and the relationship between club and player had broken down too much for him to stay.

The next few years of his career will be interesting if nothing else. I don't think he will go down the Dele Alli path to obscurity but I also don't think hes going to end up at Barca and become indispensable. If he does end up there, I think he might be in for a bit of a rude awakening as Spanish fans at their big clubs are...unforgiving of form or application.

The potential is there for sure.

Given Amorim resorted to playing Mainoo as a striker yesterday, I will consider the club negligent if some sort of striker isn't brought in today.

Surely they realise the pressure he is under, even if most of us are sympathetic - there is already quite a bit of discontent brewing...

Whats Weghorst up to these days!

While Rashford must take his share of responsibility, his downfall is at least partly a consequence of Utd being a toxic football club right now. Almost all players, to vary degrees, rely on confidence to perform and I think that's never been more true than with Rashford. He's clearly shot to pieces confidence wise and he doesn't have the character to prove people wrong and instead just downs tools.

What Utd are going through is what Arsenal went through for years during the late Wenger days until a couple of seasons ago. You've got supporters turning on the owner(s), players, manager and each other and it takes a period of sustained success to break that cycle of negativity.

LOL - funniest quote of the transfer window..

Jhon Duran - "I grew up watching Al Nassr. I've always wanted to play for them"

Hahah, yeah..sure...you grew up in Colombia watching Al-Nassr and dreamed of playing for them. Course you did, course you did.

I saw that, it’s laughable.

It’s more believable had he said he always dreamt of playing alongside Ronaldo and this is his only chance.

I thought that was a fake quote...

Trying to think of the striker who said that after every signing. Might've been Robbie Keane especially amusing as he's signing for LA Galaxy

EDIT = Yep it was Robbie Keane

Madness from all involved if that's true. Guehi's a decent enough player but he's not £70m good.

He is first team CB for England. Whether he is worth it or not, that is pretty much the going rate.

If they wanted him and bid that earlier in the window it would probably have been a done deal. Offering that on deadline day when Palace already want another CB just isn't going to happen.

Parish will be spitting when he goes for half of that in the summer

I'm not convinced. You always get exaggerated stories, if not completely untrue ones around transfer deadlines and I think this one falls into that category. £70m buys you most CB's in the world and many better than Guehi.

Anyway it's being reported that Tel is going to join Spurs. I assume that means he rejected both Arsenal and Utd.
