Cheers guys, not sure how much difference it will actually make at 4k but I like to run dlss quality and max out any ray tracing so hopefully less dips in fps.

So I managed to sort another issue out today, My boot times were taking a long time ie 1min-1min 30secs to boot up on a SN850X M.2
I noticed in the bios there was 2 settings one for "Memory Context Restore" and "Memory Power Down" I enabled this two options
Boot down went down to about 30secs, I do know though I have got a lot of USB devices plugged in that doesnt help as well.
This was all on a MSI MAG Tomahawk x870 wifi.

Planning an upgrade from a 11700K to a 9950X3D- first AMD build since Athlon 2000 days :)

My workloads are 65% work (O365,internet,DC tools, some photo editing via photoshop, premiere pro) and 35% gaming. Hoping the 9950X3D isnt priced too high compared to a 9800X3D.

Guys, I am thinking of picking up a 9800x3d.

The motherboard will probably be the GIGABYTE X870 AORUS Elite or the ASUS TUF GAMING X870-PLUS WIFI.

If the memory I am looking at either this or this is not on the QVL is there much danger of it not working?

No should work fine, they are probably Hynix A-Die or M-Die, the only difference between those 2 kits is you're paying £20 for the RGB.

Is it worth upgrading from a 7800X3D to the 9800X3D? I'm guessing probably not, but looking at the resale value i can get for the 7800X3D has got me thinking.

Playing at 4K with a 7900XT.
