Napoleon (2023)

Has it's moments but they are few and far between, which is made worse by the long running time. And if you're going to be historically inaccurate, then you have an opportunity to make it more interesting, not more boring.

Over the weekend i watched Sicario and Sicario 2: Day of Soldato.. Both movies were great. Well acted, good pacing and great stories. The visuals were also superb. Both 8.5/10

Coppola certainly lost the plot with this one. I've no meaningful idea what the film was about or the message it was trying to convey aside from some convoluted nonsense about living for today and not in the tomorrow.
Only saving grace was Aubrey Plaza being highly suggestive.

It was. He really wanted it made. I think his nephew helped with the visual effects. Corridor crew reacted to them recently. Some of them were absolutely terrible.

Charlie Sheen alien invasion film. I saw this back in the 90s and watching it now it wasn’t as good as I remember

Enjoyed this a lot, slow burn at the start until the

reveal - though the film title, trailer and poster really give it away

at which point it becomes a lot of fun as it plays out unforseen consequences of one of the characters actions and the ensuing escalation. Topical in several ways, would highly recomend it.

By less than 10 minutes I hope you mean a lot less - I didn't even make it to 2 minutes... absolute garbage. Sometimes these kind of movies can be a guilty pleasure, this one absolutely not.

Darkman (1990)

I haven't seen this since the VHS days and I remember it being ok back then, now, it's not so good. The comic book style is a little over done and almost every shot looks like a panel from a comic. The acting is over top and very campy and the dialogue is terrible at times. All of which was probably intentional, but it just doesn't hold up today.

The composite/optical effects are pretty bad, even for their time. But credit to the practical stunt work, some of which is really impressive.

Wild At Heart 1990 - not as weird as some of his moviesb ut still pretty crazy, havent seen it in years so barely remembered it, very good 8/10
