Maybe people just don't want to burn their houses down
Hopefully more $500-$600 but who knows what will happen in the current crazy market, and AMD have a history of ******* up open goals (can't remember one bigger than this)So these will be $599-$699 cards still?

If the expected performance/availability of both camps is anything to go by AMD have an open goalHardly an open goal as nvidia have a release the day before which could throw a spanner into the works. Prices could still be in the process of going up or down.

I agreeBig if, performance for the 9 series is still up in the air, amd claimed all the oems had gimped drivers and nobody had really seen the real performance yet to their knowledge.
28th can't come soon enough
Yeh I am actually expecting it to be £799 tbh
If it's £799 I'm not buying I will just get a 6750 or 7700 for my son's pc upgrade to go with the 5700x3d I brought for his bday this week. I've decided no Nvidia for us this time no matter what.
So these will be $599-$699 cards still?
It won't be £799,
I wonder what performance the 9960xt will offer

If 9070xt is so efficient why did amd not make a 5080 killer
Big missed opportunity; unless the 9070xt is expensive to make for amd, that's probably the issue I guess, its not that AMD can't compete with Nvidia at the high end, it's that AMD's architecture makes high end too expensive to manufacture
It has surely just got to be in their interests to do their best on the pricing. If they create a greatt mid range solution and it's priced aggressively that is going to hurt NV and their market share far more. The keeping up with the jones' route just won't work as the RTX 4/5 gen cards at the top tier are just insane
Yeh I am actually expecting it to be £799 tbh
699 isn't a great price for the 7090xt...amd said it'd be within 5-10% of the 7900xt at their keynote speach in CES and you can buy those now for £720 on ocuk right now...they've been down at £650 before.....so where the generational uplift in that? that will be an own goal at that price. People will say they're just doing the same as nvidia. They renamed their cards to be in line with nvidia so it's a 4070 series card...4070super you could have bought a £520 black fri...4070ti was £699...and amd doesn't command the same price/perf of nvidia...not by a long shotAMD its simple £699 and you will wipe the floor with 5080 downwards, come on do the right thingI have to be honest if AMD did not exists then Nvidia with these prices would have killed PC gaming for many, just ridiculous prices for a 5070ti.
