*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

Red Devil is my favorite-looking card over past few gens of both AMD and nV models with nV FEs coming second. If they do another limited edition with the devil box, that's what I'm going for.

But Radeon VII was the GOAT in terms of astetics.
Still got my 480 in my older second machine. Does make you wonder as well re memory as it has 8GB and is ancient by now!

so if its 40% faster than a gre

that would make it about 90% faster than my 6700xt t 1440p give or take

Yes, that dog hunts. 9070xt (or vanilla) worthy upgrade.

I'm coming from a 6950xt which is around a 7900 GRE in performance, so decent uplift for me as well, especially in RT.

Eh, the forum people don't matter much. AMD's problem will be convincing normies to switch (which will take also convincing some enthusiasts in order for the word to spread and the reputation to be built up). More than anything that will rely on their marketing & sales departments, but as we all know those are complete horror shows @ AMD.

That being said Nvida - $150 is ultimately not a crazy deal. You still lose in performance (RT & PT), you still have worse upscaling & AA, you still miss out on all the other features, driver support is still subpar, etc. if 9070 XT was exactly equivalent to the 5070 Ti then a $150 discount would be great but as it is there is no discount, there is only a trade-off between a lower price vs more perf/features/support.

As anyone who has ever had to sell knows it's a tough, tough situation to be in when you want to convince someone to switch from one vendor to another, and an offer of "slightly worse for a little less money" is never going to be enthusiastically received. IMO AMD simply doesn't have that as a strategic objective either, which is why they're okay with the current sales numbers & profit margins. Sure, they'd like more/higher but only if they somehow fall from the sky, not actually making drastic changes to their org.
Just buy the 5070ti already you should be able to find it over £800

This feels like a daft question, but can red RGB be changed to suit build?

I much prefer the look of the nitro , red devil just looks more like base model lol and not a fan of the red accents

Nitro vertically mounted won't see the power cable which is nice but you might also not see it burning

Some of us have seen the rumors about this card, here it is basically confirmed to have the 12v-2x6 connector.

I guess they wanted in on the flame generation feature too. But props to Nvidia, very generous of them to give away exclusive features to the competition for the first time.

Not wanting to derail the hype train, but I'm now a little confused by Videocardz dollar price estimate.

4999 RMB is $686.10, way over $599.

Reading the article back, the entire basis for $599 seems to be that the Chinese price for the 5070 Ti is 6399 RMB, making it 28% more expensive than the 9070 XT. I think people are getting ahead of themselves...

It’s a fast moving thread but this was answered previously. The Chinese prices include 13% VAT. That makes it about $599.

Confirmed .... Looks hawt !

Interesting power cable placement

Powercolor 9070XT line up.

9070 Line up.

Hmmmm..

That 9070XT Reaper will fit in my case, so on my shortlist.

I only have 315mm card length to play with and I suspect a lot of XT’s will exceed that, so good there is a least one that ticks the box for me.

Is suspect the marketing & sales departments at AMD mainly deal with other businesses, so called normies will do what I've seen them always do. They'll go to their favourite YouTube reviewer channel to see what they have to say about a GPU.

For a GPU that's not even been release yet, much less reviewed, you seem to known an awful lot about the 9070 XT.

How much performance (RT & PT) will i lose if i go with the cheaper card, clearly you're talking about RT & PT so do all the game i want to play use those?

How much worse is the upscaling & AA? Do i have to use upscaling & AA?

What other features am i going to miss out on?

When you say driver support is still subpar how is that going to effect me, does it mean my games are going to be constantly crashing?

Those are all rhetorical question BTW, however they're the sort of question so called normies typically ask when confronted with the points you've raised. They're the sort of answers so called normies typically get answers to by listening to their favourite YouTube reviewer channel, probably by skipping to the conclusion at the end.
