The cable is OK if they put appropriate measures on the board like NVIDIA did with the 3090Ti.
 
Am i have a get off my lawn moment by not understanding the fixation with how the cards look?

All i care about is how much higher the power targets on each card are.

Yeah, I don't like the connector, it has its issues. But the biggest issue is nvidias implementation, on the 5090 using it to pull 600w through a single power plain. I would hope sapphire will not do that. Certainly a 305w card is not a 600w card, we've yet to see how it's set up though.

Still would have preferred if they just didn't use it

Just LOL if you aren't using the reflection from your full glass case to game on.
 
Two questions. On that nitro+ for example, is that bend acceptable? It does look gentler than those on the front who bend too close to the connector. And also, being above the heatsink will that get hot or does the fan with airflow negate that and potentially offer a nice way of cooling the connector. :p

PS what is the second cable shown?
 
I'm honestly tempted to sell my 4070s since it's selling for £550/£600 and buy the XT but my mind is telling me don't be stupid. Seriously should I just skip this gen and wait for AMD UDNA ?

The uglier the better if it means those wanting to buy a card as a fashion accessory are no longer interested.
