Graphics Card Warranties (UK Only) - Let's see how good they really are!

Sapphire have dropped their warranty period to TWO years, rather than three, for the 9070/XT range.
This means Gigabyte & XFX have the longest support at THREE years.

A pity, as I've always picked the Nitro+ from each generation.

Where did you see that?

I'm sure Gibbo said all cards have a three year warranty and a competitor is advertising three too.

Sapphire's own site - I haven't yet found any retailers that have published their exact warranty period on their 9070XT Nitro product pages.

Happy to be corrected, if not

That's a bit pants.

IIRC they always had two years on the AMD MBA cards but own branded were 3:via your retailer.

I guess we have to hear from OCUK as to what their policy is.

Always found Sapphires to feel solidly built though, so too this 9070, so hopefully the warranty won't be needed. Not that that's the point.

3 years would be best, at least gives you some piece of mind. Most of people will sell the card in 3 years and get a new one, but still - its good to know that it is covered, in case anything happens.
However, one time when I needed to use warranty was in first few months of use, card was a bit faulty and had to be replaced. I dont know if GPUs go bad after few years - does it happen often?

Is the table on page 1 accurate?

Just bought a palit card and unsure how long warranty is for and how involved OCUK would in the process.

Two years as far as I'm aware, it was for the RTX 40 series. Checked around a few other retailers and they are specifying two years. OcUK haven't added warranty periods to the current gen cards.

OcUK look after the full warranty period. Says on the OcUK website: "If the manufacturer is unable to return the items within 28 days, we will give you the option of a refund. Depending on the age of the items, the refund may include a deduction for the length of time you have used them (known as rescission)."

However, OcUK have been offering a b-grade equivalent replacements reading previous recent experiences on this forum.

Im hoping the chart on page 1 is still pretty accurate. I have a ASUS STRIX 4090 OC White thats just started to overheat to ridiculous temps. Card is 8 months old! Soon as I lanch ANY game it immediately ramps to 100% fan speed and hits 90C within a few seconds and Hotspot hits 110C. Had to back out. Emailed OCUK on tuesday and havent even had a reponse yet. Kinda hoping its a thermal paste issue but Ill let the warranty and RMA cover that, this was NOT a cheap card as everyone knows.

My MSI 5090 went faulty after 3 weeks and i put a RMA in that took around a week to get a response, but once the ball was rolling, it's didn't take long at all to arrange the collection and to also process the refund. Adam W was very responsive and helpful once he picked up the ticket.
