The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

Anyone playing Cities: Skylines 2 on a 9070? Just curious how it runs.

I put in a ton of hours on the first one with my 5700XT, and even that didn’t run it amazingly well. After reading the horror stories about hardware compatibility with the second game, I didn’t even bother giving it a shot.

Surprising that my reaper is wicked, I did the ddu but got no display, found out I needed to disable igp. The took a minute or 2 before coming on. But tbh the reaper is decent, it's only 2 slot and tbh I'm chucking everything at it, may look plasticy but it's the silicone inside that's more important tbh
I've got a 5700x in that system so no iGPU sadly. You're right, the silicon is what counts, but at the moment it's doing literally nothing for me, so looks and feel of the actual GPU is all I'm getting from it

Does anyone know why after installing my new 9070 XT and plugging the HDMI cable into it, that I am not getting any display out. This is in my new pc I have been putting together and had been using the integrated graphics in the 9900x up to now. In the BIOS the Display Priority is set to External Graphic
Is your bios set to uefi only? 9000 series won't display otherwise.

Hold yer God damn Horses

Aren't the timespy benchmarks now skewed between Nvidia and AMD ?

From looking at all your results the Physics marks are almost twice as high as those on a 50 series card

I'm claiming unfair sportsmanship because the leather jacket man disabled our Physics and ROPs

BUT on a serious note - compare the physics scores for yourself

Isn't physics usually mostly tied to CPU ?

Checked the power cables which all seem to be seated correctly along with the card itself. But re seated the card anyway and after that I noticed it showing up in windows. So I switched off the pc moved the cabled to the discreet gpu and it is working now. Even without disabling the integrated graphics. But I will now disable the integrated graphics as I don't need them.

Also use GPU-z to verify that your card is running at 16x
Mine was running at 8x until I reseated it

dunno about if there's any special make to benchmark but on all high no dynamic res 5120x1440 I get like 50-60fps on my 9070xt

determined to get the little reaper over 27k timespy, had a quick go this morning

Hi guys lot of people who who own one, am I allowed to ask here how you guys actually got one? Did you ghet lucky or use a bot?

When I got my rtx3080 I used some kind of link that went on my discord to let me know via a notification when something came in stock, and I'm now getting fed up of checking multiple times per day for nothing - could anyone give some advice or share a discord link at all?

Yes I hear you say "just wait" but 10gb really sucks for 4k, as does 1440p when you're a few feet away from a 55" oled :D

Happened to be browsing OcUK at work when Gibbo posted on here the first batch of non-MSRP had just gone live. External traffic hadn't caught on, was able to leisurely snap one up before they were gone in about 2 minutes :) Your comment of getting fed up of checking around was why I ended up paying the ~10% markup from here.

Well I needed a non-XT which was no doubt less saught after anyway and had it in my basket spot on 2PM.

Kept checking and nearly gave up but it eventually let me checkout at about 4-430.

So, just lucky. Handy because I actually needed the card.

Anyone using bots should be banned

I think you'll find most posting they have them here this close to release ordered direct from the site on the day stock went live. This probably involved a lot of frustration as the site was up and down like a yoyo!

Personally, I managed to get a successful order at about 1620 on release day here.

Got one on the website. My order time says 13:57 as the non XT went live a few minutes before 2pm.

Now it'll be down to luck as there is no set time as to when they restock.
