** Kingdom Come : Deliverance 2 **

Just a heads up -

Looks like the perk “Local Hero” can cause a micro stutter / hitch every 5-7 seconds - especially in kuttenberg.

The solution is to reset all your perks and reassign them - but don’t choose the local hero perk. Save > reload.

It happened to me. And this worked.

I picked that one recently. Let's see how it goes. Not played in 2 days. Hopefully tonight.

How do you reset perks?

I assume you can respec spent points too?

You can buy the potion recipe so I'm guessing so. I've had no issues with the local hero perk on a 13700k & 64gb of DDR5.

I have it also and not noticed any issues. But will double check tonight.

There’s also a mod to enable cheats that let’s you remove that individual perk via console command. I had to do it due to the Kuttenberg stuttering and it definitely works.

Its not really that its "just a game" , its that certain things must be gamified in order to progress a story line. Hence the quest you mentioned pans out in the way it did because it was necessary gamification in order to progress the story. The whole telepathy wasnt a thing in the middle ages is obvious but again its a necessary game mechanic because to not have anything of its ilk would actually be far worse because it would make that entire aspect of the game mechanics fundamentally broken. It would be a good case of when its not the best idea to listen to the players because many times what the player thinks they want they ultimately wouldnt want.

If for example you could steal, kill and nobody ever knows it was you then the game would be pretty boring because the player could simply trot about at night lockpicking into everything, killing everyone and stealing everything, with no way of ever being found out because dna forensics didnt exist in medieval times, so its a necessary gamification. Sure, its not historically accurate to the middle ages but an historically accurate Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 would be a VERY poor game indeed.
I can trot around without much issues, even now and I think KCD 1 was even more permissive.

Some stuff you can gamify Bethesda style which means you have something like stealth implemented VERY badly - including Fallout New Vegas which although is not made by them, I guess some concepts were rather forced upon the producers to keep the overall theme. Or you can do like KCD does which is a lot better, by miles (even with the psychic NPCs). If we'd have some ability to extinguish lights a la Metro would have been even better!

A realistic approach, logical, makes it fun! ;)

I'd definitely like the ability to distinguish lights
