Pleae please please report back once you have it in hand. I've not seen any info on Zotac solid cards (just one terrible YT review of the AMP Extreme version). The Zotac cards are the smallest and only ones that may.... fit my existing case.

When the queue place opened up its queue, people spotted the following day that it had reserved for itself the right to increase the price of pre-orders and give people the choice between paying more and losing their queue position. In the face of this, the queues place has clearly taken a decision not to increase prices - nobody has thus far reported being asked to pay more for their pre-order.

And no, the interest on deposits wouldn't even close to covering the losses it would have to make - people dramatically overestimate how much interest it'll be earning (at absolute most, around £10 per pre-order so far).

Honestly though, it's like a lose lose, this is why they should have taken a standard normal deposit and price finalised upon delivery yet for some reason they wanted that interest money or just greed. It's incredible how unprofessionally they've handled this launch. When OCUK get over 60 of the cards and they get none and they keep stringing on their consumers. I don't doubt that they will get their cards in time, but I'm certain almost no one would have preordered if they realised the true ETA of their cards (6 months+)

I don't think that's good enough for a card costing £1000-1500 more than the mostly identical performance of the MSRP cards myself.

ASUS did such a good job with the 4090 Strix, but let themselves down with the Astral.

I still think the Astral looks the best card visually, for a display case type system.

That's if you don't want to download the new bios, with the new bios you don't need a custom fan curve

mine is quiet under load, nothing to complain about at all. Never goes above 66 degrees
 
Bingo. I scored a 5090 Palit GM for £2149 this morning at a competitor. It's a low-pro that isn't listed by normal trackers, I was looking for a roman chair of all things and just happened to look. Fingers crossed it goes through, but it's already charged.

Edit: Reservations on the Palit as it's basically an FE in thermals in performance (not to mention the Vegas showgirl astetics), but you know what they say about beggars...

beggars have £2149 to spend on a gpu? :). My, how the world has changed ;)
 
Just ordered a Zotac 5070 OC from OCUK After being dissapointed in not getting a 9070XT. It will be replacing my 3070Ti so should get a bit of that back. I know this card has had a bit of flack lately but i wanted it to go with my new 14900KF machine and thought why not. I generally run at 1440p UW but i will also be connecting to my 4K 120hz TV so will have to give the DLSS4 a blast. :)

Seen a bit of a shift the last day or two. More people not prepared to pay the daft prices and are waiting. Still plenty of pay any price folks out there but they are slowly dwindling away. :rolleyes:
 
I watch about over a hour of gtc last nite couldnt believe he didn't mention the melting connecters or black screens on the 50 series or the missing rops ..wee man's a joke..

I have seen some Astrals on the Bay go for 3500 quid yesterday so their is still some daft people about.
