***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

The app is great for building with my son. I can put his iPad in a stand where he can see it and it helps him know what we are doing. He has problems with his vision and co-ordination and can't easily look down in front of him. I hold the parts where he can see them and help him explore the shape and press parts together.

@Gav_r26 yeah, unfortunately it does have errors. The Jaws set has an early on where parts for the hull are not shown assembled in order. One of his Star Wars sets had pieces suddenly shown without the step included. Annoying but usually easy to spot and trouble shoot. I always have the manual open to check 1:1 pieces.

Just packed the Lego collection for storage at my parents while we wait to move into the place we're buying.
Was dreading the effort, but in the end it wasn't so bad - and the boxes only take up half my parents garage haha

So I finished the UCS TIE Interceptor. I hate it with a passion. It's so fragile that almost as soon as you touch it something falls off and trying to move it or even as you're building it it inevitably falls apart or something falls off and sometimes you don't even k ow where it's from a pain to build at times too. Definitely only a display piece.

Was looking at picking this up for the coming week as I have a weeks leave and no plans. I’ll steer wide.

Could hardly disagree more with the above.

Only issue I had when building it was a cockpit interior piece falling off and being a bit of a bugger to fix due to limited access. Really enjoyed the rest of the build other than the repetition of four identical 'wings' but that goes with the territory.

It's been on a shelf since completion so does fit the 'display piece' description. I don't expect anything else from a UCS kit tho'.

Finally got to start on The Endurance:

Enjoyng the build, perfect for recuperation!

50 or so of my sets. https://imgur.com/a/q8QKVww

Looking to sell my house and will need to store some stuff temporarily so have been breaking down my 80-90 or so sets, I’ve completed all the downstairs sets, now just the 30 or so upstairs to do.

Some I’ll end up selling some I’ll eventually rebuild to display when I get settled at a new place.

Saw these pictures from the Brickz Museum thats opened up in Milton Keynes. Osbournes is my local toy shop, less than a mile from my house, ad was the first UK importer of Lego. All my sets a kid came from there, and my old man was at school with Will Osbourne. Need to pop over to have a look in the next few weekends. The other year Lego celebrated Osbournes by clading the entire front of the shop in bricks.

Thanks for that, I go past Rushden relatively often, I might make a detour and look. Also how did you find the Brickz Museum? I did the Pixel Bunker the other weekend which was ok but quite a few broken machines and the Film Museum sounds quite expensive at first glance, was the Lego museum worth the money?

Rebuilt an old set.

Also I should have said box is complete but ripped, inlay and lid are present and full instruction (worn but complete). Only 2 pierces missing one pneumatic hose and 1 grey slop computer (might be amongst other lego sets). a few broken 1x1 "glass" coloured plate pieces. Frankly I was amazed at how good condition it was in.
