*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

It has nothing to do with Nvidia. All I am saying is that holding back the release for 6 weeks has clearly helped them to achieve record numbers in the first month. Of course having a good product that addresses nearly all of RDNA3 weakness has helped!
Lets not kid ourselves - if Nvidia had launched with any kind of volume, a fair few people wouldn't have bought the readily available 9070/xt. Rightly or (mostly) wrongly! I mean people are still buying 5070s

It's more the fact it's a good product at a good time. Nothing skewed about the figures.

It's still overpriced it should have been replacing the 7800xt price point, but how bad things are it's best option from what's currently available doesn't make me want to praise it either

You and the other 4 people!
I got 3 x 30 series cards at msrp too. Two 3070s as no-one wanted them at launch because they were waiting on other card announcements, 3080 was unavailable due to value, then the other cards turned out to be rubbish. People seem to forget the 3070 was available for a few weeks before it went silly. I actually used them for about a month then sold them because they were worth double. Then bought a 3090 and a series X, which in hindsight was a stupid decision.

The point is fake MSRP was a thing on both cards. You got either at MSRP, it was because you got lucky.

I didn't get lucky or lucky Nvidia gave that opportunity? , saw that they dropped every few weeks and joined telegram alert group to get alerted when they dropped didn't matter if I was out used phone to complete order and same for friends and family

Suddenly now I'm starting to see 5070, 5070ti and 5080 pop up MSRP but saying that even at MSRP they are overpriced for what they offer

Yeah, if you are using a discord and notifications on rare MSRP stock drops, let just say that’s not considered “normal” purchasing habits.

If a person can’t go on a website and simply add an MSRP GPU to their basket at any point, then the system is broken.

You entire premise that the 9070 XT is overpriced because you got a rare 3080 at MSRP”, doesn't stack up to scrutiny. It’s no different to someone saying the 9070 XT is amazing value because they paid £1000 for a scalped 3080, but they got a 9070 XT for £560.

Yes I refused to pay £1k + like others did and saw it was possible at MSRP , same reason I refuse to buy the 9070xt at this moment
