I'm about to run out of storage space on our Series X 1TB.

I'ts got a 1TB Expansion card, and then every game I can I've put on a 4TB USB 3.0 SSD Drive.

I'll swap the 1TB card for a 2TB, but surely there is a better solution. My son is Autistic, so its a likely flash point if I have to keep moving games between storage so he can play them.... !

X/s specific games need the speed of the proprietary internal memory or external expansion cards to run.

However, older titles for X box one, 360 etc can run from slower drives.

As I understand it, the console can address up to 16TB externally either via SSD or HDD.

It may be you could move all non s/x titles to a very large external drive and have everything else on internal + 2 TB expansion card. But it may not be enough.

Unfortunately MS use a very specific SSD card and as far as I know they simply don't exist in anything higher than 2TB.

So your only option is to buy more external expansion cards and swap them as needed. Unless you can lay your hands on the special edition 2TB series X and then use a 2TB expansion card but they are rare as far as I know.

In terms of flashpoints, could you manage this over time to reduce adverse reactions? Or somehow introduce the idea of swapping external memory cards and manage expectations that way? A kind of "change management" process.

I'm really curious what games are installed currently

To answer the questions, there is about 50 on there, and we've already got a 4TB SSD for the non Series S/X Games.

Games are things like Fifa, Jedi Survivor, NBA, NHL, The Big Show (Baseball), Train Sim World, Farming Sim, F1 24, etc.

ooh. is the COD MW2 the one with the airport massacre, Favelas in Brasil and the one with a big house in the country side with lots of windows? If it is, thats the first COD I played and was never beaten imo.
I played MW2 "the first time round" so I don't know if this recent revisit includes all those same levels but I would love it if it did. The levels you mentioned were indeed classics for me too.

I have just checked it out, looks like it will be like the 2009 release we played then. Looked at the level images and it all flooded back to me. Might have to re-sub to game pass again.
