its 680 on the forest now so u still wonI bought it off the rainforest for £649 on Saturday and of course today it's dropped to £599 but hey ho. I'm still happy. I do highly recommend it mate.

Not really mate, there's 120hz to 144hz but other than that there's no difference. If I wasn't using the C3 in another room I wouldn't have pulled the trigger tbh. Got it for £630 too which seemed a decent price.Seems like the C5 is around 10% brighter than the C4 probably a fair bit brighter than my C2.. just can't make my mind up to see if it is worth the upgrade. When you swapped the C3 for C4 did you see any big improvements @Mightyashy
They're perfect as they are. They would cost double with the "PC gaming monitor" label.Personally I think those C series are already great for monitors - I wish they make them as monitors, without remote and tv features.

Been using it exclusively as a PC monitor, not really babied it much apart from hiding taskbar and using a black-ish wallpaper. Otherwise have had static windows (e.g. Whatsapp Desktop, Discord, Email) on screen for 10+ hours a day.
No burn in whatsoever.
The trouble is I took burn in warranty from JL when I bought it, and that expires at the end of this year.
So I'm wondering, how likely is it that I can get this wonderful monitor to burn something in over the next few months so I can claim my warranty and get a new panel, since presumably it'd just be a replacement with a new model e.g. a C4?

The sad thing is loads of people must be doing it which is why the cost have shot up dramatically, I was genuinely shocked when I saw it was £500 now for cover on a new screen ( 77" ) but then to be expected if come year 4 they start to get a ton of claims and just write off the TV and pay out ... mine was a genuine case of burn in and not something I would purposely force and was happy I had the cover in place which is its intended use but obviously some will play the system... I imagine 50% of their claims will be from forced damage to the screenDon't encourage him!

But you'd defraud an honest businessHmm I'll think about it. There doesn't seem to be much difference between the two honestly in terms of specs - a bit brighter and 144hz vs 120hz? Not sure I'd really want to pay money for such a marginal upgrade.
Hypothetically - depends on the business. Might be that I just stick with the CX long term if there's not much to gain from changing. It really is a lovely panel and the fact that nothing has really improved 5 years on just demonstrates that. If I had paid £500 for burn in warranty (what a rip off!) then would defos want to get my money's worth. But at £140 I'm not too fussed.But you'd defraud an honest business![]()
