Buy something like the U7 Pro Wall (not in wall) with table stand, put it at the back of the house upstairs and that'll help both inside and out. Will work meshed to the UDR7 or cabled if you have the option, just remember to get a POE+ injector if you are running it meshed.
Are you recommending the U7 Pro Wall over the U6 Mesh just because it’s WiFi 7 capable?
I can’t find the table stand on their site for that model :/
Based on having a UDR7 which is wifi 7 it makes sense as an AP, mine works as well, if not better than the u6 mesh I have and I've seen no degradation in coverage from using the u7 Pro Wall rather than the u6 mesh in the same place, if anything its providing better coverage to back of the house and garage. Are you recommending the U7 Pro Wall over the U6 Mesh just because it’s WiFi 7 capable?

I didn't go for an official table stand and have a ebay 3d printed stand, does the job and was only about £10 delivered.
Reset the UCF Fibre, change wan mode to DHCP, plug it into the ISP router, update the UCG Fibre. You can restore in that mode as well, but you'd then need to change the WAN settings. How I typically switch over routers/network componets, just plug it into the existing working router as client, get it configured and working as a network device, then switch it into place of the old router and update want settings. What’s the best way to update my UCG fibre without internet?
I can’t get the UCG fibre to talk to my ISP router/ONT combo using its overly complex bridge mode and I can’t restore from my current cloud key/USG combo backup as it’s running a newer version of the network application and Unifi OS.
Is it easier to downgrade my Cloud Key to match the UCG Fibre?
Plan A is to get the overly complex bridge mode working but advice on plan B is appreciated!

Drilled holes and ran cables yesterday. The one I’d put upstairs was a 15m cat6 already so was perfect. Did a quick test bringing it all online but the Pro X7 failed to adopt for some reason.
Will try again today after reading up on why that might be. A quick google seems to suggest firmware/updates/wifi version the likely culprit.
Now need to figure out cabling back to the office and see what the signal is like in the utility for some sort of receiver>ethernet.
Yeah, they are spec'd at 22W, so definitely the 15W the UDR7 has won't be enough..I think I've figured out with the U7 Pro XG won't adopt, it's not getting enough power. The UDR7 only has one POE port, the U7 needs POE+.
I've got a TP-Link POE+ switch somewhere, so I believe I should be able to use that.

Anecdotally, once running, my two U7-Pro's draw 10-13W each..
Go for the Fibre, plug it into the ONT and set up any PPPoE username/password as required and make sure VLAN 911 is set on the gateway.
which 10GBE injector and SPF Module did you order?, I want to use the remaining 10G SPF+ port on my Pro-16-Max-PoE for a Flex-2.5G-PoE switch, but want 10G and PoE to power it so will have to inject (ideally)..I read on reddit that all the U7s appear to want PoE+ not PoE, despite often drawing PoE power.
10GB PoE+ injector, SPF module, and WiFi>Ethernet port bits on the way.

I have the top one used in my UDR7 and UDM Pro and worked no problemJust some cheap-ish ones from Amazon.
Should be coming today, so I'll let you know if they are any good.
Depends on the ISP, I've just moved from Lit to iDNet. I've got a static IP (don't think you can opt to not have one) and it's running fine with my shiny new CGF. City Fibre will change the ONT for one of theirs.Ok thanks, I will need to ask the ISP about any PPPoE username/password is required for the line. believe that City Fibre using the CGNAT system or I can go for a static IP address
