Hey Deekin, thanks a lot for your info and courage. I also got 9800X3D for my B650 Gaming X AX rev1.3 BIOS FB4 and it works just fine.It even offers new Curve Optimizer. Now only time will tell if this combo is safe to run. I mostly just game.

Also, with Gigabyte's versioning FB5a means it's an Alpha BIOS or do Gigabyte just use hexadecimal numbering for their BIOS versions or something?
Anything with a letter after the number is a beta or alpha release. Normally starts at a then increases for further revisions.

F32a, F32b with the final release being F32 as an example.

Good to know, thanks. I think I'm on F33f (B650 Gaming X AX V2) so that sounds like a beta BIOS and maybe I should switch to the F33.
I will also avoid F34a and wait for F34.

Typical GB, lying to us that our motherboards won't work with 9000 series cpus but actually works fine, now this...

I plan on using a PCIe riser (4.0 or 5.0) cable for a Lian Li Upright GPU bracket mount. I want buy a Lian Li 600mm PCIe 4.0 riser cable but I heard other users with our motherboard encountering problems when using one (ie. intermittent black screens, running at PCIE 1X). Anyone tried using a riser cable with our Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX and what are your experiences? Please list the riser cable used and your GPU, thanks!
