So being a new owner on the 42inch C4, are there any guides for setup as a monitor?
I don’t I’m afraid as we never reviewed that model. A lot of the general settings and approach should remain similar though as you’ve hopefully foundThanks for send those through. Just followed the C3 variant. @Baddass if you have any further input for the C4 42" that would be great.
I have. Could not go back to anything smaller.I must admit - sorely tempted to press the button on this. Coming from a 32" monitor - will I adjust to the larger screen size...?
Well, I'm glad I told you all about it here and now you all can get a nice CX replacement for free
Those pixels are never seen during regular usage, they sit on edges of the panels, but as any dead pixel - they tend to spread with time.
You dont have to prove that your usage is affected - simply, LG has this policy that dead pixels need to be replaced - so that is cool way to refresh your TV after years of use.
Mine was bought at Richer Sounds with their 6 years warranty and mine was replaced after over 5 years.
Probably be like mine was and in a few days they will contact you saying they are writing it off as initially they said they are sending a technician round to mine ... I assume the CX panels are no longer being produced which is why they just write them off . As mentioned they offered me a few options and replacements and even offered me a 83" C2 which I turned down , they then offered me a C4 in 77" for free and also the option of a voucher which I took for £2200, ended up putting another £2300 to that and getting a G5 after considering what to get ...
Funny enough my mate with the C8 didn't notice his dead pixels until I showed him the screen burn on mine with the YT test and he then done the same test on his which is when he noticed quite a few dead pixels but until that point didn't notice them .
Keep us informed what the outcome is on this .
I think your enjoy it mate. I have mine on a monitor arm so can easily move itI must admit - sorely tempted to press the button on this. Coming from a 32" monitor - will I adjust to the larger screen size...?
Typing on a new C4, really enjoying it so far. Do any of you have the scaling in place for resolution etc?
Which arm?I think your enjoy it mate. I have mine on a monitor arm so can easily move it
They are not cheap but only heard good things about them.I got the ergotron HX and it is very sturdy, I am sure there is a cheaper alternative though
Yeah, it is very smooth and easy to move around the table. If you do intend to move the monitor around a fair bit can't complain about it really. They are not cheap but only heard good things about them.
I have it on a Ergotron LX pro. Its fine a sturdyWhich arm?

Well, so you would be in better position, as getting refund/voucher is best.Update for the lads, the technician came around today as booked. Took a quick look at the screen, saw the dead pixels, snapped a pic of them and the serial number and said I'll get the report sent over to JL straight away.
I mentioned to him that online multiple people have had the same issue and then technician report stated 'not economically viable to repair' which led to getting a voucher/refund/new TV.
So fingers crossed this gets procesesd quickly, since prices on the C4 are looking tasty.
Main dilemma is whether to stick with the 48" or go down to 42". I've really enjoyed 48 and don't find it too big, and I sit around 85cm from the panel. I do have to turn my head a little to see the corners.

yep, they even did it for my CX, over 5 years old.Engineer has been out this morning and confirmed its got 10 dead pixels in the same area, took it with him as they are going to put a new panel in so looks like they can still get them for the 42" c2.
