How much is your water bill?

Last year was £258, and Anglian water estimate 25-26 will be £310 (metered).
During the summer the hose pipes are on everyday.
I don’t pay for sewerage though.

At my previous address (3 bed terraced house) that id been at over 20 years it was £31.00 pm with United Utilities. Earlier this year I had to move and downsize considerably and now live in a 1 bed ground floor flat and my bill has somehow shot up to £51.00 pm. The excuse given is that it's due to the area I am now in, which is only 4 miles from where I was so it's hardly a massive change, it's still a northern town just in a different part of it.

I put in for a water meter that should be here next week because there's no justifying that water bill nearly doubling.

Two bedroom terrace, just me living here.

Its softer :D

£60 for the month on a meter and what seems to be the norm now for just two of us with a garden and three bathrooms.

United Utilities keep putting it up!

About £35 a month, but only pay for 8 months a year: £280 ish per annum.

Not metered, family of 4. Will absolutely avoid getting metered as long as I possibly can!

Edit: having checked, it's gone up a bit. Amended above numbers
That ^ was 2022/23. For 2025/26 it's £60/month!

That's a HUGE increase over three years.

It's usually just under £200 a year metered and this is based on actual meter readings.

I can never work out why some folk for example may pay £30 a month DD and then get a shock and have a whinge when their DD gets raised to £70. When you're on a meter you pay for what you use, it's not unlimited water for £30 a month. There is a lot of this shenanigans on my new build estate FB group at the moment. :D

Gone up to £70+ a month, not metered but have requested a survey to have one installed as I don't think we use quite that much in our household of two adults and a toddler.

£80 is what we pay. To me it seems excessive. There’s only three of us in the house. But it’s a 5 bedroom home; so I think they use that to work out the cost. And some nonsense about amount of water leaving the property…

Ours has jumped up to £112 per month this year (paid for 8 months per year, so total of £900). That's up from £650 last year for our 4 bed house in outer London. Apparently a 38% increase is perfectly acceptable to Thames Water...
No water meter as we are on a shared supply pipe, so I will be sure to use every litre of water I damn well please this year!

No idea.. never received a water bill since moving in a few years ago (renting), maybe it's included in the 'service charge' the landlord pays as it's a new build, who knows.

Either way water can never be disconnected so *shrug*
