Why are Evri are so absolutely abysmal?

I use RM almost exclusively now.
Main reason is they are cheaper than evri due to free next day collections. Means I don't need to drive to a locker.

Also. Their 48 tracked is covered for 150.
Add 150 of insurance to evri + locker and it's better for me to use RM

Never used evri to send but never had issues recieving them the local delivery driver is really good always delivers around the same time

We've had a few bad drivers from Evri but the Amazon ones are the worse i think, Our current Evri Driver always comes to the door and waits for someone to answer and also has gravy bone biscuits for the dogs :-)

Everi is hermes UK rebranded, that's why it crap... even a rebrand couldn't save their reputation

Amazon and DHL achieved the highest levels of customer satisfaction with handling complaints at 56% and 55% respectively, while FedEx slipped to third place with 52%.

Yodel performed “below average” on some aspects of its customer contact processes, Ofcom found, contributing to a satisfaction score of 38%.

Evri once again achieved the lowest levels of satisfaction, despite improving on its 2023 performance, to 32% during the last year.

the best UK can manage is a 56% satisfaction score? capitalism the true race to the bottom.

Evri literally the worst company in country for handling parcels,

I don't understand why you'd use Evri as a sender? I try my best to avoid retailers who use Evri, and cancel orders if they don't warn in advance and I end up get a shipping notification from them (making it clear that the reason I'm cancelling is their choice of courier).
I find their prices competitive and service convenient. I will look at other companies though, don't want to wait for something disastrous to happen

Holy thread revival!

My turn to have issues with Evri.

I booked a parcel delivery via Parcels2Go and chose (foolishly) Evri on a next day, fully protected etc to send my parcel.

Parcel was collected & delivered as booked.

But this afternoon I got an email, subject "There was a problem with your delivery"

The email claims that my parcel was larger than the booked dimensions and I have to pay additional costs to cover it.

The way they book the dimensions is Length x Girth (height x depth). Weird way of doing it but the website calculates for you.

The parcel I sent, I measured at L86cm x G128cm

The email claims that I entered the dimensions as L86 x G220cm and that the actual dimensions were L152cm x 396cm

I've disputed this and told them under no circumstances am I paying more than the quoted price, especially since Evri are lying about the size and waiting to hear back

How they think my parcel was almost twice it's length and over 3x the girth is ridiculous.

They were fine for us yesterday, delivering on behalf of Amazon, tracking said expect delivery anytime 1700-1900, arrived ~1740.

If it's anything like when I had a similar issue years ago they'll send you a picture that shows absolutely nothing, you reply telling them it proves nothing, don't pay anything and never hear from them again.

Yeah it's probably an automated size / weight scan that went wrong.

I had one with UPS some time ago where they claimed a small box <10kg was coffin sized and weighed more than a driver could lift. Had to go all the way to small claims court because their CS was so incompetent.

I had a couple of packages "delivered" last week.

I say delivered, it was left on the doorstep. Of a neighbour. On the opposite side of the Road. About 10 houses down.

I was literally stood chatting to my brother inside my front door when i got the delivery notification and had to play detective with the tracking app and photo.

Think a lot of it depends on your driver, the regular guy here is pretty good, no complaints.

That said I had reason to try and contact evri customer service recently and eventually gave up, its just chat bots that never put you through or tell you you will hear back and you never do

i have started having my Evri stuff (go outdoors recently) delivered to the Spa shop in Wadebridge ,keeps it super simple as i pass through coming home from work ,and quick ,can be done as soon as you get the tracking email

Probably because they've squished it and it's now twice as long!

That's the thing. The email came AFTER they'd delivered it and I'd confirmed it was all intact by the buyer.

I've told them I'm paying nothing extra. I gave them the correct sizes.

I've also, in the dispute email told them that any further communications will be charged with an admin fee of £15.00 per response. £15 is greater than the charge they're levying. But since they wanna add admin fees, only fair I get to.

Evri delivery for my address has been good for years lucky. Always been through same lady no problems what do ever.

They are an embarrassment. Every time I get a delivery from evri it goes the same way.

1. We have your item.
2. Your item will be delivered today between X-Y
3. There's been an issue and your item is delayed.
4. No further updates.
5. Your item has been delivered.
6. Me. Confused. Wondering where it has been delivered.

Just happened again today.

Literally so far 'touch wood' Evri has been by far the best delivery around here and collections. The lady that delivers is lovely and always sends a message when it's been left ins safe place if I'm at work.
