Let me elaborate what we are likely to see,

1) leather jacket
2) AI, AI , AI & more AI
3) world class leading MGPGIGPT frame gen where RTX 6050 is equivalent to 5090
4) New world class leading MSRP or $2999.

hopefully AMD will release a top end GPU that does not even need to beat it NVidias 6090 but be close and priced much more competitively, yeah I am dreaming.

Honestly if this price trajectory continues, I am switching to PS6 and I will be happy with that, all PC games are practically console ports now rather than other way round. I was very happy with my ps5 and games looked good enough.

Let me elaborate what we are likely to see,

1) Fat Old Man
2) BS, BS , BS & more BS
3) world class leading flame gen where RTX 6050 is equivalent to 5090 and also catches fire
4) New world class leading MSRP or £2999.

Funny, but we're heading off a cliff that is easy performance gains, and switching to new paradigms of better rendering. New tech will never just appear out of nowhere and be workable in a single generation, it needs to be developed over decades across many products. When the node shrinks run out we're going to cling to things like new AI features like crazy to get a better product.

AMD are no more free of that problem than Nvidia, they will have to move to alternatives as well, meme AI frame generation and whatnot. I would expect this to become a new normal.

Rubin will still use monolithic die design and surprised Rubin CPX GPU used GDDR7 memory instead of HBM4, maybe Nvidia will launch Rubin gaming GPUs at CES in Jan 2026 as AMD confirmed Lisa Su will be at CES in Jan 2026 likely to announce next generation Zen 6 CPUs and RDNA5 GPUs.

As per Nvidia's roadmap, this first Rubin GPU uses GDDR7 but there are also Rubin GPU's coming that use HBM4e

The latest Nvidia roadmap revealed back in May 2025 showed first Rubin supposed will feature HBM4 in 2026 and Rubin Ultra to feature HBM4e in 2027.

Oh I dont know Nvidia updated roadmap yesterday to added Rubin CPX to roadmap so there will be two Rubin GPUs in 2026 to feature both HBM4 and GDDR7.

They don't generally talk about gaming products, there be a mention after hours of AI and compute talk

Saw a video last night saying the 6090 will have 30% more cuda and rops then a 5090 so with out any other boost should be 30% there and the node is shrinking 40% what would you say the gains there will be ?

I'm hoping 55% faster then 5090 minimum and 100% over 4090 l. Would make a nice upgrade

30% more cores going to 3nm seems like a let down

They'll push clocks with the power savings, it will probably still be a 600w GPU

I think it will close to 100% faster than 4090

Still not fast enough to run Borderlands 4 at native 4k 60fps

AFAIK the node shrink only improves power cosumption, so that might get you higher clock speeds. I think 55% faster than the 5090 is optimistic but not impossible.
Unpopular opinion: The DLSS and Frame gen that the 60 series will enable will be so good that everyone will just start using it all the time. Pure raster performance is meaning less and less in the gaming space.

I will only buy it if it doesn't consume more power under load. I will pre order it if it is much more efficient

I spoke to Leather Jacket man in the sauna and he said 50% more CUDA and twelfty more watts.
