Humbug spent over $1000 on SC?

Mind officially blown!
Yeah pretty sure he is concierge now as over the $1k mark. But it's like $50 there and here over that 10+ years, not like one ship.

I hit that last year for CitCon as those tickets count towards and I booked for like 4 people (whom paid me back) but I've only actually spent $90 I think total since 2014 on the original games pack, one minor ship upgrade to the avenger titan and a Nox which one day I will switch to the ranger bike when (if) they come out.

Don't forget about the pizzas people send to the devs to reward them because they're doing all this work for free and delivering great results

Not sure what that has to do with anything?

I've had Amazon vouchers and such sent for doing my job from some clients but I'm sure there disgruntled clients that have been disappointed in comparison. It is irrelevant though honestly to anyone particular.

So why would a particular person or group of people whom have been happy with what they got from the Devs be anything to do with anyone else? And from what was ever started I remember a Reddit post on it and it was like one person got them some.

@TNA

Check this out

It's odd how much actual feel is missing
- mostly the voice and sounds
- some of the atmosphere in the new version
- the vibration of the ships
- the dust blowing from the vtols
- external pads
- massive amounts of air traffic
- having NPCs like scan the cargo
- going through proper airlocks and security scanning

There lots of improvements of course but as kinda in the video things are missing so much still after all this time in SC.

One thing about landing on the Pads I would almost wish they just made the ships in armistice zones that have landed (mostly at the larger planet locations or external pads on space stations) just be indestructible tbh. It would solve a lot of the reason to pad ram and tbh not take anything away since you can't shoot (or shouldn't be able too) ships in those locations and it wouldn't change the ability to be stolen or anything like that anyways.

So yeah I like where it gone in a lot of ways but they just haven't got a lot of the soul in the game the original demo showed. Now they got that new sound direct in and he seems passionate at least so maybe in another 6-12 months the game will feel more alive there at least with both ships and city locations.

Getting in NPC traffic would be a huge boon for making locations feel alive and again tbh they could be on set travel lanes and be set to indestructible and if the player goes near them then they are shot at by planetary turrets and NPC security arrives etc. Honestly those little things could elevate the locations so much.

I've tried reading this multiple times and still have no idea what you're saying.
Are you trying to say it's normal for Joe public to send pizzas to a software development company?

Some of us send them lots of Pizza and Coffee... no joke :D

But yes i know :) once a big push is over they do take a break, some do leave...

Also wtf has Reddit got to do with it, I was referring to this old comment.

I think that makes me an OG backer.

@Noxia Why are you quoting 18 month old posts?

It's a shame accounts don't have an activity hour counter like Steam does. I reckon Humbug has spend probably less than 5p/hour he's played over the years! Probably less.

I'd love to know, many many thousands of hours i'm sure.

Ah good. Now you know how I feel about your completely pointless post on pizzas for devs then and no idea what you are saying about it. The point of Reddit and that is there was once a couple of posts about it from around 2014-2015 and even with Humbug post I am assuming he was referencing that accordingly back then.

But also how many games were early in their dev from a kickstarter having backers go and visit the studio and meet the devs and spend time with them as people. Hence where the buying pizza came from originally. So sure it isn't common but neither was the how and when the whole thing came about the first time around.

Yet you still managed to waffle about something you apparently didn't understand, great job.

And no, it's still weird, but you do you if you want to send food to the needy, though I'm sure the food banks might appreciate it more than the alpha Devs.

Edit. Noting just because I find it weird makes no difference, still a nice gesture I guess overall.

I meant I didn't get the relevance to the conversation as it was a completely pointless post to anything being discussed.

Next patch soon, this has part 3 of the ASD mission loop. I've gone through it in the Evocati build, its pretty cool.

:fallen_leaf: (Tuesday) We are currently preparing a small 4.3.1 RC2 build for a potential PTU release later today

RC = Release Candidate.

...using a who backed 1st (or who paid more) as if that makes us more or less important.
Who backed first or who spent the most money is a perfectly valid way to create target priority lists. ;)

I only started playing more recently than many and have thrown a few hundred into the game but by far the most money was put into buying two joysticks (vkb) and a set of racing peddles (fanatec). I know I'll be able to sell them on if I choose down the line but importantly it's vastly improved the engagement I get from the game. It's just fun using sticks to fly around :D

Although I've not played the game for more than 5mins in a couple months I think now. I wanted to get some of the new ship skins but not willing to do that cargo haul grind.
