Games you're playing, and games...

My plans of ghost of yotei got wrecked last night by a power cut. So I played fast fusion on the switch till it died, cracking game. Then started red matter 2 on quest 3 till it died, not amazed by it so far.

But power has been restored so hopefully finish split fiction with my daughters today, what a game that has been, then yotei when they are asleep.
Split Fiction is fantastic, looking forward to being able to play with my daughter when she's older (might be some time considering she's only 3...) because it's such an enjoyable game.

Might not be too long for you, mine are only 8 and 6 and we played it takes two a year or two ago.
They pick games up crazy quick, its great being able to play games with them.

I'll wait for Ghost of Yotei to arrive on PC in the future, now my new PC is built I'll be diving into Cyberpunk as I never played the Phantom Liberty DLC.

I picked up the Resi Evil 2/3/4 bundle on offer with my remaining credit. I think I have made a terrible mistake as I want to chill and RE2 is anything but that. It has got to the point of hide and seek with an unkillable giant. I should have got a straight shooting game :(:p.

Wouldn't be so bad but it's just frustrating, as I don't find the actual game tense/scary.

Just run lol. I don’t like that mechanic either but yeah I got through it!

Juggling between Ghost of Yotei, Final Fantasy Tactics and Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. That'll keep me occupied until Christmas, then I'll tackle Metroid Prime 4.

Started Ghost of Yotei, couple of hours in, looks beautiful even just in performance mode on the standard PS5. Really enjoying it so far.

Started playing Indika, I honestly don’t quite know what to make of it. I’ve liked quite a few walking simulators that aspect doesn’t out me off, but it definitely goes in some weird directions

Just finished Cronos: The New Dawn, and damn what an amazing game, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, thought it may be abit samey to Dead Space, but nope it hooked me right in, the sound, atmosphere story are all top notch, and the ammo does feel really limited at times, only one gripe would be the last boss!

Interesting. I know nothing about it but Dead Space I love so I’ll add it to the list!

God of War Ascension, Killzone 2, Borderlands 4 and BO6.

Can't believe how good the PS3 games still look, with game motion switched on L2 on QLED, it solves the FPS dips, smooth aiming. Looks better than a lot of modern games and it's ancient tech.

Death Stranding looks super boring so I’ve never played it but I bought a PS5 to play through the exclusives. Days gone, Last of Us 1 & 2 all finished and I’m half way through God of War. All of them 10/10 for me.
I ended up starting Days Gone after this (though I actually ended up using the PC code rather than the PS5 one), resulted in me playing most nights for a good couple of weeks or so , and usually much later than my body cared for the next day, but really enjoyed it! Really great game, thoroughly enjoyed it!

Since then I picked up Hollow Knight: Silksong on the Switch2, and have become a little bit obsessed

Man. Skip them and go to resident evil 4 remake. It’s more of what you’re actually wanting ! A fun as hell shooter with a fantastic setting (castles and stuff)

In the midst of playing Cronos: The New Dawn I heard about a game called Observer: System Redux, which was also developed by Bloober Team. Downloaded it tonight, seems awesome. Cyberpunk, dystopian vibe with a detective element, Graphics and immersion is really engaging atmosphere.

BF6 out today. I'm still on the fence whether to buy it or not but its on release day special at my local retailer. $79 or 39 quid. Today only.

There's a load to install for BF6 - it's like COD now

Edit: quick match on Operation Firestorm... feels like they nailed the BF feeling, I didn't play the beta, so this is my first go. Could do with slowing it down a bit, as it's a little too COD in terms of movement/play speed imo.

I couldn't let myself be defeated by frustration and more than a few tries I got out of the RPD Statiion in RE2. Probably helped having a couple of days of not playing it. Had another session of Split Fiction with my daughter, which was a nice change of atmosphere.
