******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

Who backed first or who spent the most money is a perfectly valid way to create target priority lists. ;)

I only started playing more recently than many and have thrown a few hundred into the game but by far the most money was put into buying two joysticks (vkb) and a set of racing peddles (fanatec). I know I'll be able to sell them on if I choose down the line but importantly it's vastly improved the engagement I get from the game. It's just fun using sticks to fly around :D

Although I've not played the game for more than 5mins in a couple months I think now. I wanted to get some of the new ship skins but not willing to do that cargo haul grind.
I too bought a pair of sticks back in 2021-2022 and I much prefer flying using that, then mice and keyboard. We need to do a GoFundMe for @humbug to buy him a pair of vkb's so he doesn't crash a ship anymore

Really minor thing but always found it slightly awkward that the 'power pips'? On SC and ED are not in the same order, messes with the ol' muscle memory.

Oh and re the sticks thing, it is enjoyable but I thought the mouse and kb worked really well on SC.

Honestly, I find sticks more of a pain for fine maneuvers like landing. Fun, cool and immersive for general flying and fighting though.
Good luck remembering all the bindings

Yeah this was my problem because I didn't play the game enough I had no chance, whereas if I play reasonably frequently it's not a problem, although that's the exact same problem I'd have with the keyboard too.
That's why when you combine these things with voice attack providing you can actually remember the bloody command you set! You should be okay for the lesser used things.

Patch has dropped. 4.3.1

And of course "...will cause some items to be lost in the update."

Any more news on this? Will Squadron 42 ever be released? It seems they get quite a way through the development of it and because it has taken so long then the tech becomes old, which then leads them to do another development pass on it to bring it up to date, repeat ad infinitum

Is there an annual event coming up soon where they said that Squadron 42 would be absent.

SQ42 is still slated for Q4 next year and this years CitizenCon will take place on October 11th, This years is digital only with a 2 hour presentation. They decided on purely digital as CitCon takes a massive amount of planning and resources, All of which would be better spent in development time.

Correction - "slated for sometime in 2026"

They did not specify which quarter!

On another note, leaks say there is a crap load of Nyx stuff in the 4.3.2 build that wasn't there before, take that as you will.... not in game but in the game files.
