Huel know its true

Totally agree with the fast food comment. It’s astonishing how much high calorie fast food is easily available. It’s no wonder the world is obese.

Ingredients is another challenging argument. Anyone can read the ingredients, most including me won’t know what they are, more won’t know what’s good and what’s not. A lot of people don’t even bother I should imagine!
Surely if you don't know what the ingredient is then it's a bit of a red flag though? My point being that it's on the consumer to check what theire consuming. I suppose the marketing is convincing though. Everything seems to be high in "protein" these days... Even dairy products.

I suppose this is linked to the fact that everyone wants to be a bodybuilder these days.

Esit - another epic typo, I'm going to leave that one in they're

I've observed that the worse a protein bar tastes, the fewer dodgy* ingredients listed.

*Stuff I don't recognise as food

Fatty pork is not healthy, especially when eaten in large amounts, as it is currently. It's not like it's decent cuts of pork either. High in calories too. And salt...

I don't see sausage rolls growing on trees either.
Unlike protein bars, nobody is eating these thinking it improves their health or performance

No, he genuinely isn’t. He’s a lot more thorough with his research and science on this stuff.

So who is he?

Chris Van Tullekan lends credibility on the science side. It is not just Joe Wicks populist health view.

Why does he have to be someone you’ve heard of before you can accept how he outlined everything in comparison to Joe’s take?

I would just like to know of this paragon of virtue. I have accepted his outline in principle however in comparison one needs to separate the science from the charlatan. I do not accept anonymous youtubers as particularly credible.

Also Joe was the main presenter but Chris and others were playing key support roles.

You do you, I don’t know how anyone can watch both videos in full and come to the conclusion that Joe approached this in the right way and claim it’s James who’s full of ****.

In actual fitness circles James is much more well known and respected than Joe. He's far from an anonymous youtuber

It's making me look at my protein powder with sucralose in it.
Huel although categorised as ultra processed reads of just ingredients mostly assist from Stevia so not worried about that.

So a personal trainer who went to college but was asked to leave after not attending classes. Had body image issues and took anabolic steroids now desisting apparently. Has written three books and is a social media influencer.

I do not see a significant science background or qualification allowing him to junk Chris Van Tullekan or even Joe Wilks. Sorry

Some of the smartest people I know in the fitness and nutrition industry have no formal qualifications. Joe Wickes is an ex teaching assistant, who funnily enough is only known because he's a social media influencer who sells his brand to whatever company will let him stick his name on things.

I don't know what this has got to do with Huel?

Crappy 'protein' bars that just artificial slabs of crap full of god knows what.....yeah, they are not something you want to consume a lot of.

Huel is a highly nutritious meal supplement designed to be.....well, nutritious. That's the whole point of it, a good chunk of your daily requirements of everything.

If you want an easy way to smash protein, just chomp some good quality peanut butter (not crap like Whole Earth or Sun-Pat), lots of good oils and fibre too.
