What Virtual Reality games are you playing?

its a great game

bit annoyed with it at the moment though, got to like the 3rd boss as rifleman, died, had to start right back at the beginning
shame i cant save it

I love The Light Brigade, particularly on PC, as the Quest version is a bit janky on the framerate and resolution. It's got the best two handed weapon handling I've tried in VR, and it has incredible atmosphere.

Currently I'm continuing playing modded Skyrim VR, and encountered a new companion that I've never seen before that actually banters back and forth with the Inigo companion I also have. I love that I keep getting surprised with new content the modlist incorporates.

I also played through the recent No Mans Sky expedition, Breach, which was really great. If you've not played NMS in VR before, or for a long while then it's worth getting back in as they've massively improved the VR rendering support which means it's now running smoothly and looking great.

Most roguelikes are like that. You do have 2 lives though.

You can upgrade to get more lives.

Like all Roguelites, the more you play the more you unlock and the further you can get each time. The levels are randomly generated so each playthough is different. They've added loads of content over the past year too, including a new level type.

First impressions of The Light Brigade are good, I like the style.

It's my first attempt at a game with smooth locomotion and I think my VR legs might finally be able to stomach it.

It's a pretty slow moving game, which helps with motion sickness. (This is why HL Alyx has such slow movement).

checked it after i found the menu and not the VD menu lol

I didn't see anything peculiar, so i clicked on Seating, which did put me up a bit more, revert that back and manual set the height of myself, and it worked :)

Picked up the Light Brigade VR in one of the Humble Bundles a couple of months ago. Have been playing it for the last couple of weeks.

In the beginning I hated it. Controls felt clunky, having to stop and "pray" all the time, the poor visibility in certain maps. The ability of the enemies to see you through walls, fog etc is really annoying. There are other annoyances, like the shotgun keeps jamming, but no other gun does. Mobs can melee you, but can't hit them.

However, I stuck with it and despite all the above, it's actually a decent game. And like any good roguelike, there is enough in it to keep you coming back for one more run, just do one more map, oh wait, it's 2am already?? The guns are solid. There are loads of different classes to pick from, engineer, rifleman, militia, scout etc, and they all play differently. There are lots of upgrades to get for each class and then there are further updates that you can get that apply to all classes. Upgrades range from better weapons to more money starting out to more health or better loot.

Definitely a game worth adding to your library. Lots of replay value.
I have tried playing Light Brigade a couple of times but really struggled to get into it. Maybe I need to try again and persevere. Too many games, too little time :)

I haven't touched my VR for ages, I find when I'm tired it is difficult to pick up compared to the regular PC.

Need to get back into it, hopefully some good games have come out.

There have been some decent games out, though it's the modding space which seems to have some of the best content. Skyrim VR, and Fallout 4 VR are still king of the VR open world games (You can even play Fallout London in VR now). Also mods for Halo, Far Cry, Portal 2, and even Crysis have been released.

Notable native VR games include Behemoth, Alien Rogue Incursion, Arken Age, and Metro: Awakening. Though these also have native quest ports.

There are some decent recent native games including Batman: Arkham Shadow, and indie games like Quantum Void.

I have been playing "Trenches VR". For the cost it has to be strongly considered is you are into jump scare / tension type games.
I enjoy its first world war trench settings, and that the creature you face is not able to be killed, just slowed down or hidden from. Kinda seems familiar to Alien Isolation.

With chatting with the single dev, as well as help when running in VDXR from the VD dev, he has been most responsive in fixing and adding to the game. Only one minor quibble, noted it to him, when selecting particles for an effect it does not retain those settings for me when the game is closed.

However......

I absolutely do NOT know why the heck I am attracted to and play these kind of games. I spend most of my time hiding, Alien Isolation in the locker when there was no need, or playing only in short bursts. I am really fortunate that no one is recording me whilst playing. I totally panic when being chased by a creature to the point of messing up my controls and then getting whacked. In the game Trenches you have to be quiet, to the point of holding your breath, as the sounds are picked up by the creature. "HA" is what I say, breathing..................what about primal shrieks of fear, heck even my wife hears me at the other end of the house.

I could do with finding another genre, or grow a pair...............as if that is going to happen.

I've 'noped' out of the headset many times when playing Alien Isolation in VR. The latest 'Grandmother' mod even adds motion tracked hands.

Yup, I even added a mod to increase the AI aspect of the xenomorph and then add more, to a total of 3 of them...................................That absolutely did not go well at all.

This one seems doable, well until I start to play.......

I struggled too, really struggled. In fact I hated the game. It felt clunky. And I think it's because I didn't like the Rifleman class. So I stuck with it until I unlocked a couple of classes. And I found I loved the Hunter Class.
