What Virtual Reality games are you playing?

Skyrim VR needs mods to make it a decent VR experience. At a bare minimum you need Skyrim Script Extender, SkyUI, VRIK for full body presence and HiggsVR for proper hand presence and HL Alyx style gravity glove grabbing.

There are also complete overhauls using the Wabbajack Mod list installer.
 
I had a quick go at installing SKSE but it appears to be looking for the Special Edition of the game (which I don't own) and errors out on Skyrim VR telling me as much. I keep seeing people say how great the game is with mods but it seems a very convoluted path getting them installed and working. I did get the vanilla version working last night and played briefly but it was buggy, especially as the sound dropped out when NPCs were clearly talking.
