What Virtual Reality games are you playing?

Just looking through my Steam library and I think I may have been referring to After the Fall. Solo (with 3 AI) or 4 player multiplayer. It's from the same people that made Arizona Sunshine, which I also thoroughly enjoyed :).

Ah, I think I have that on my wish list, as well as Arizona Sunshine but I'm still pondering about them.

Into the Radius has similar gun mechanics to Contractors, there's also customisation of the weapons (silencers, scopes, laser pointers etc), you have to keep them in good order by manually cleaning them or paying for a repair, you have to load up your magazines with bullets from ammo boxes etc, the backpack is unconstrained and you can place stuff anywhere etc. It's really quite immersive. I wish you could jump and climb over general obstacles though, it's only ladders and specific things you can climb. There's a lot to it and I'm really looking forward to the second one.

I didn't like the stylized(?) graphics of ITR, I'm looking forward to the sequel as the graphics look more realistic in the screenshots that have been released.

I never could get into Into the Radius. Just seemed like the interactions were super clunky.
OK, so I just loaded this up and do remember playing it before. I also remember giving up halfway through the tutorial, which explains why I only played for 28 minutes. I have gotten further this time and completed the first mission and level-up shooting range but I do find it all rather clunky too and I really don't care about the whole weapon cleaning necessity. I get it adds a little more realism but I just want a decent storyline, and to shoot things! :)

The manual cleaning bit was a little annoying, but then I noticed you can alternatively pop everything in the unit and for a small fee it repairs them all in seconds. I guess it is to bring a level of realism to the game and there's plenty of games out there where weapons increase the chance of jamming as they are used. The storyline is a little vague, it seems more like you have to work it out as you go along, but I think that's the whole point of the storyline - nobody really knows what has happened. Plenty to shoot btw! lol

Keeping the weapon clean is important, as you don't want it jamming or malfunctioning when you need it. This will also help when you want to go out and shoot things

Tried it again tonight and just not feeling it. I think I've been spoiled with Alyx and Arizona Sunshine. I just can't get into this one for some reason. I may come back to it in the future. It is in my library after all :).

Fair enough, worth a shot! I kind of felt similar also after having played through Alyx (and a raft of the workshop missions). Took me a while to push deeper into the game and really start to enjoy it once the money rolled in. Now that I've finished the main story, it seems to be open ended looped missions, so I really need this second one to come out! lol It looks next level, so fingers crossed.

I've had Arizona Sunshine in my wishlist for a while now, but some of the negative reviews are really putting me off. I loved the first Walking Dead game (not so keen on the sequel due to the night missions being a bit crazy hard) so Arizona Sunshine really appeals. I might wait for a heft 75% sale!

I can always come back to it and try again. Hopefully then I will persevere until I get to where you were :)

Tried arizona sunshine recently.. and I wasn't a fan, it's definitely showing it's age.. like others probably been spolit by later better games..
I really rather enjoyed it but wouldn't' pay full price (that goes for most games these days though :)). I did play it before Alyx but I could see me playing the campaign & DLCs again as I found it quite entertaining and amusing. I'm not really into multiplayer these days so that's where I'm a bit limited. I'm waiting for a decent sale for the sequel as I've got a bit of store credit.

I'm also a little less inclined to do online multiplayer, I loved it when I was younger, but when trying Contractors multiplayer I found it crazy how fast some people's reactions are. I did start to improve, but it's finding enough time to really learn the maps because there's so much custom content. Showing my age! lol I prefer online coop.

Decent single player storylines is definitely something VR is still lacking in my opinion. Walking Dead was pretty good.

I mostly use it for Phas, Forewarned and ETS. Driving a truck in VR is another level
I once tried ETS in VR using my wheel and pedal setup.
It felt so immersive that while driving on the motorway I automatically went to rest my elbow on the window sill as I do in my car, only to lurch sideways and nearly fall out of the chair, because of course the window sill didn't exist. :)

I would've done the same thing if I hadn't adjusted my entire chair too I put my right armrest up because I do the same in the car.

Bet the cat thought I was weird af turning all over the place looking at him behind me, but not...

It's been a long time since I played Half-Life: Alyx, but last night I fired it up on the Quest 3 for the first time. I had forgotten just how incredible the graphics and the fidelity is. I'm not sure if it's actually better on the Q3 compared to the Q2. Even the little hand gloves things, the details right down the texture of the metal is beautiful.

I'm going to work through the campaign again and also see if there are any new workshop missions to play. I'm wondering if the Source 2 engine been used for any other VR games (not demos). Maybe a CS2 VR will come out?
