What film did you watch last night?

New F4

CGI baby withstanding, I thought it looked great, and was nice to finally see Galactus as he actually is.

Deffo one of the better recent Marvel offerings.

7/10

The Ninth Configuration. 6/10
its basically M*A*S*H on acid.
written and directed by the author of The Exorcist.

Watching the making of the visual effects videos most of the time it was a real baby. However because of the way the Thing had to be done it didn't always look right. On rarely was it replaced with a cgi baby.

Caught Stealing - 7/10.

I quite enjoyed this for what it is. It's funny as the film is set in the 90's, but it actually feels like a film that was made in the 90's - which I see as a good thing.

I got this vibe too. I actually rather enjoyed it, after putting it off for ages. Always nice when a "plan C" film actually turns out decent. Loads of little details which I really liked too. 7/10, same as you.

feel like jumps in the story rather than linking anything coherent together and the acting from the supporting cast wasn't great.
I went to see this at the cinema, and was struck by exactly this. Was it worth watching the second time, knowing what some things will happen, and the reasons? a lot of this escaped me the 1st time around!
oh my bad, i got you confused withe the poster before you talking about Romulus

Good Fortune,7.5/10
Keanu Reeves plays A well-meaning but inept angel named Gabriel, who meddles in the lives of a struggling gig worker and a wealthy venture capitalist.
great film!
very funny, and very on point social commentary
The humour isn't high-brow, but it is adult; there is no slapstick in this movie. Keanu does a great job at playing the deadpan comic, which really suited him, at times, he was still a bit hey dude, but maybe his is still just good at that as long as it is in the script, which I think it was. I don't believe that he was ad-libbing that
I don't want to give too much of the story away, all I can say is that it is a good story, that somehow made me feel a little more complete after watching it, the giggles certainly helped me out
100% worth the watch 7.5/10

Back to the Future at the cinema. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this. It’s basically perfect. It all hangs together so well. Everything fits together and there’s nothing wasted. Everything is relevant and I don’t think there’s anything you could get rid of. The effects still look good, by and large, and the bits that don’t can be forgiven because it was 40 years ago and CGI wasn’t a thing.

I’ve watched that finale countless times, but it’s still incredibly exciting when he’s racing down the street and doc is trying to fix the cable in time.

It’s stunning.

10/10 without question.

PS 11/10 for Lea Thompson. I wish my wife would look at me the way she looks at Michael J Fox. To be honest, I wish 1985 Lea Thompson would look at me that way. I’m gonna say it was quite a formative film for me in that regard.
At the cinema , didn't know it was being shown! Its certainly a 10/10 from me too, probably my fav film - closely followed by Terminator 2.

A House of Dynamite

Probably not something i'd watch again, but 7/10.. Quite liked it.. Gave me some proper chills..

This should have been right up my alley but I just found it a bit meh. Seeing the same thing from three different viewpoints and then the ending just left me slightly annoyed. The initial tension and intrigue just flat lined halfway through.

I’d heard rumours they were going to show all three this, but there’s no sign of that now. I’m not so fussed for 2, and while 3 is weakest in terms of the sci fi time travel angle, I’d love to see the train finale on the big screen.

I have seen 1 and 2 in cinemas in recent year. Part 2 was in cinemas last November.

Have never seen Part 3 put back in cinemas though. I would love to see it so will have seen the trilogy on the big screen.

Couple of Jaques Audiard movies recently

Read My Lips (2001) Vince Cassel always a pleasure to watch in these kind of movies. French thriller that's also romantic 9/10

A Prophet (2009) a rewatch for me. Still a great movie and I read now there is a TV series coming 10/10
