Junior Doctors Strikes

So you'll never use medical services if you get hurt/hurt yourself, or find a lump, or get a constant cough etc just let nature take it's course?
Pull the other one...

Did I say that?

As usually, you Numpties behind your screens and keyboards taking out it of context.

Just like I expected.

Life has always been about survival of the fittest. Always has been and always will be.

If people don't like that then have that conversation with Nature or whichever God you follow. Not me.

The old have all the big guns (allegedly). :p

But you want nature to take it's course, but you don't mean with you, just people (I assume) older than you. Seems clear enough.
They are so concerned about it that they go private and their body apparently is a temple of virtue. That won't help if they have an accident and the doctors decide they are not worth treating due to the severity of the injuries, so just let nature take its course.

Here you go, this is a small promo video I did for the company I work for a few weeks back Feel free to take a look

My body is a temple for virtue...........Because it is :p and the evidence is posted right there for everyone to see.

So I will continue to let nature take its course, while I be more fit and healthy than 99.9% of people on this planet, never mind the people in this thread! While a number of you complain about the NHS, with your over hanging stomach looking like you are 6 months pregnant

I think its inevitable thst we will eventually end up in a pension like system where emergency care will be via NHS and then anything there after will be heavily done through private healthcare funded either through the workplace or individually.

And doing that amount of exercise you will likely have a stroke, high blood pressure and possibly an aneurism. Even if you don't you may cripple yourself with arthritis or drop a weight on your foot accidentally and need an amputation or should you just leave it it nature to heal the temple of virture:)

Ok, continue telling yourself that if it makes you feel better :)

It doesn't make me feel better, just sad for you. Real life sucks, but you probably haven't had a proper dose of it yet and still think you are the center of the universe

You seem to be struggling with those light weights or is it for dramatic effect?
I assume you're not in the UK so your doctors aren't on strike anyway...

Simple question to you, do you disagree with a caution first approach?
It sounds like apple pie and mother’s milk. Who could disagree with it? The problem is very complex to distill into a short post but the reality of a caution first approach isn’t good.

Where does that end?At what point do you define caution has been taken? Nobody, nor any test are infallible. You see a doctor and they make an assessment. They are probably right most of the time due to their knowledge and experience over the years. Sometimes it takes some tests, sometimes it takes an empirical trial of something, sometimes (many times) it needs time. You go to see an expert (a GP is THE expert in undifferentiated problems) to get that assessment. If you don’t trust their assessment then seek a second opinion.

I review diagnoses all the time. Sometimes I was wrong and I change my mind. A very conservative back of a fag packet sum would suggest I have seen 117,760 patients in my time as a qualified GP. It will be more, but that is based on 32 patients a day which is what I have done the vast majority of my career for routine appointments. That ignores house calls, extras, more on oncal days. I have seen a lot of people with a lot of problems. I have seen them at many different stages of their journeys. I have a lot of experience. I will have been wrong on many occasions, and I will be wrong in the future. However you can’t just always take it to the next stage on a what if? It’s medically poor and risks massive issue for patients. Some tests can risk death either at the time or down the line. Do enough of them and you will cause harm. Promising an answer can be found when it may not be isn’t good mentally for patients

The health economics also don’t stack up. I’m not talking just a little bit more, I’m talking many multiples more. It’s not something to aspire to meet all demand. It’s simply impossible. There isn’t the money or the people to get close to doing it.

Do I want the service to be better? Of course I do. I see the outcomes of problems all the time, it causes me anguish and time and effort daily to deal with problems, but because of that I also understand the realities and it’s not a simple problem. Please don’t conflate us picking holes in your arguments with not caring. The medical profession is fed up of the moral injury suffered by being told what they do is crap all the time. We work very hard in a system that is on the brink, and the government don’t know how to fix it, nor really can they afford to so they fiddle whilst Rome burns

Haters gonna hate!

See, you cant even acknowledge the fact someone who is taking the time and effort not to put strain on the NHS, not taking up your slots when you cant get an appointment. But nope, you want to act like a child.

You seem to be struggling with those light weights or is it for dramatic effect?

Dramatic effect.

Whenever I am in the UK, I have an private doctor and same with the dentist. I cant remember the last time I used an NHS doctor even when I lived in the UK.

Nobody's acting like a child except you. I'm just pointing out that you can be the fittest person on the planet but you will still die at some point sooner or later with or without medical help. You are also about 50yrs to late as I had similar thoughts when I was 18yrs old. Glad you can afford to go private quite a few of us poor old souls can't and just have to use the NHS. For what it's worth even though I have health issues I very seldom see a GP or overuse the system.

Yeah, ok. Well, was clearly being a jack ass with this comment. Zero reason for it.

As I said, haters gonna hate.

What do you really expect with some of you comments ? All kisses and cuddles? Like I said real life sucks, get over yourself.

If you are so fit and healthy why do you need a private doctor and dentist?

Maybe for you but not for me. So don't drag me or anybody else down with you. If you need to, go and seek some professional help.

None of my comments was directed at you until you decided to jump in.

Because Im over 40 and that's what men should do at my age as an general check up. I make sure everything is still working as they should. Just like with motor vehicles and MOT's.

Instead of waiting for something to go wrong later on then drop down dead when its too late.

This is one of the reasons why women live longer than men. Women have more regular check ups at the doctors.
