Have you not been tempted to stick SteamOS on it if that’s possible with the Ally X?
I like the idea of Windows compatibility in theory but in practice it’ll probably be way worse that SteamOS for things like sleep mid game and constant updates and installing drivers / other software to get everything running.

Nah I like being able to run Gamepass from it. The Xbox front end that boots up immediately is getting there in terms of polish. It's not quite as good as SteamOS in terms of updates but I like it.
