Decent game controller?

Just ordered a scuf xbox controller for pc, seems good and has hall effect sticks, hope i havent made a mistake as was just over £100 lol

I'm in the market for a controller to use with my MacBook Pro + Geforce Now, but there's so much choice available that I'm overwhelmed where to even start.

Are there like 3 controllers that I should put in my shortlist?

So far I've found:

EasySMX X20
GameSir G7 Pro
PS5 DualSense

I think I prefer controllers where the left stick is at the top, so that makes the PS5 controller less desirable but it seems to be a very, very popular choice.

Thanks :)

Gamesir G7 Pro (Gold 8k Champion edition currently available on Shein for £40 delivered)

Flydigi Vader 5 Pro (reviews slightly better than the G7 Pro, but pricier)

Gamesir Cyclone 2 (can be found for £40ish, but the G7 Pro above is the better choice for the same money - currently under £20 on Shein)

Gullikit King Kong 3 Max (My son prefers the weight of this for Rocket League).

I've had two different EasySMX controllers, (X15 & X20) - both died within a few weeks of minimal use - won't bother with the brand again.

Thanks very much! I'll take a look at all of them.

Xbox controller for me. Never have any issues with compatibility, they just work.

They’re often on sale too and can be had for around £35

I did think about the Elite controller since I remember reading a few years ago that it was amazing. The lack of hall effect or TMR sticks is probably what put me off considering the crazy high price.

I’ve never been able to justify the price for one of them. They look cool but the reality is I’d never use the extra features they bring.

The only other controller I’ve considered is a dualsense as I love the haptics, but support hasn’t seemed great, and with Sony now winding down releases for single player games on PC I’ve lost all interest.

No, just no.

EVERY single Xbox controller I have, including an Elite One and Two, has drift stick and button sticking.

Not worth a buy, just get a Gamesir.

I’ve never had noticeable drift in games that I’ve noticed.

Funnily enough I did have the rb button stick on my last controller which was the reason I bought a replacement.

What gamesir controllers are you using? A quick glance and some are close to £100.

I’m tempted by the new steam controller when that eventually releases.

Using a Cyclone 2, so good I bought another one for my laptop.

Micro switches all round and hall effect sticks.

Cost about £35 each.

I had a brain fart and forgot that I have an 8BitDo Ultimate 2 for the Switch 2. It works brilliantly with my MacBook Pro + GeForce Now over Bluetooth.

My son loves using it with the Switch 2 (despite us having a Switch 2 pro controller too - kids eh?) so I will probably still end up buying something like a GameSir G7 Pro or Flydigi Vader 5 Pro.

The 8BitDo is really nice to use, but the hard plastic handles makes it feel a bit cheap.

Where did you find the coupon?

Did you sign up for “Shein Saver” which costs £2.90?
I tried signing up to shein saver and the price stayed the same so don't bother. I ordered it anyway though, it's still a decent price and I was interested in the G7 Pro a while ago. The upgraded analog sticks with 0.6ms average latency in the 8K version sealed the deal.

I still can't see a reason to upgrade from mine too.
If you just play singleplayer games then not much point in upgrading. If you play multiplayer games then the stick latency in the cyclone 2 isn't ideal at 9ms wired and 23ms wireless.

That's a shame. I hope you were able to get a refund.

Thanks for letting me know. I really appreciate it!
