Snap - I've been on Poland for a while. Not saving a huge amount but it all counts I support. When this stops working, will probably just sign up normally - all of the other methods now either seem to be a faff, or only work for a number of months anyway.

I ended up switching (well, pushed!) from India to UK, and getting the adult members of my family group to chip in. Still works out more than before for me individually, but I'd rather that than not have Premium/YouTube Music!

How is YouTube Premium lite? I can see my Monzo Plus account is going up from £7 a month to £9 but it now includes YTP Lite. I already pay £8 a month for Premium as I live in Portugal, I think, but if lite is 90% as good I could be convinced to move back to the UK

It looks ok actually, I did glance at you get AI pro gemini with it if you sign up at the moment if that would be useful to ya.
Lite removes all disruptive ads but you get the odd banner ad on some pages and ad entries in search results, you don't get YouTube Music or enhanced bitrate on videos which support it (I don't see many), commercial music videos do have ads.
Maybe I'll check it out next time I get kicked from my current location. Happy enough to continue paying the £8 at the moment as getting my moneys worth and though I don't use YT Music often. There's a few things I listen to there that I can't find elsewhere

I got a reply after a couple of weeks but I can’t be bothered with it. It’ll be the third time they’ve had to reactivate a subscription!
I’ve now got Google AI pro as an EE extra which comes with YouTube lite and I’m using it in smarttube on a google streamer so I get ad-free on music videos now too. There’s also a few useful features that aren’t on premium.
I’ll probably use morphe on the pixel when that comes next week…

For those using a Turkish subscription that was cancelled at the end of July, there is a solution.
Kliq allow you to set up a virtual credit card. I downloaded their app on IOS and tried to set up an account, but it failed to send an SMS notification. I spoke to their customer services and they said that there’s a daily limit on international SMS, try again at midnight Turkish time. Sure enough, I tried just after 10pm UK time and it sent me the SMS straight away.
You can then set up a virtual card (no funds need to be added to it) and use this in the iPhone YouTube subscription page.
Et voila, my Turkish YouTube subscription is back up and running. Having subscribed through the iPhone subscription settings, I had to then open up the YouTube app on the same phone for it to be activated on my YouTube account.

Do you need to set app store to turkey and then change it back to UK once the subscription is working?
I used to have YT premium family from Argentina, I liked it and could share it with my parents. After 1 or one and a half year they kicked me out as they thought my location was invalid. The Ads are so ridiculous I switched to Brave on android phone, ios (ipad) and Windows. Never looked back since.
For my tv's I sideloaded Smarttube and WOW, this is how the real YT app should have been, it is so vastly superior to the official app it's ridiculous. Even skips stupid sponsored bits now and the UI is so customizable. I don't understand how the mass puts up with the inferior experience from the 'official' app even with premium.

This is how I do it for my subscription via India, so I would assume the same holds true for Turkey.
It was a while ago I did it and can’t remember. I set it up with a separate Apple ID that has a Turkish address, I think. There are plenty of guides out there. It costs me £2.80 per month as a Turkish resident.
