**Unofficial Tyre Thread**

I have these all round:

Radar dimax r8+
Never heard of them, had to Google. Origin in Singapore but could just be a Chinese brand.

I would swap all 4 if possible and take 15% off KwikFit discount. Or take the Bridgestone ones for £84.99 from Costco if you have the membership. Just noticed Michelin Crossclimate 3 on Costco too. For roughly £360 you will have the full set of CC3s. Cracking deal imo.

So I have rubbish on currently :(

Thank you for the suggestions :) I think I'll have to settle for 2 for the front at the moment and then look at changing the rears in the near future.

I was warned about these 22"s but it's barely been a month and it looks like I'm ******, doesn't it? :(

I'm just going to get a set of smaller winter wheels and put them on even though it's still relatively warm. Sod replacing these summer for only a few more weeks

99% sure I know which one, but I think I've hit it in my i3S and didn't have any issues. Incredibly frustrating as I've tried to be very careful as 315/30R22 are not hideously expensive and the car's only done 8,500 miles
I hope the difference between a new left rear and the old right rear isn't enough to **** up the xDrive.

Tempted to downsize to 20" summer wheels as well; these are stupid. I don't even need to ask if it needs replacing, do I?

Drove exactly the same roads for 60,000 miles in my Q7 (285/40 R21) and never had a single tyre issue. 1 month in this and a bulge.

Are BMWs particularly susceptible, or is it just the stupidly low profile tyres?

Just ordered CC3S for the i4.

Was going to downsize alloys but couldn't find 858M in a square setup without buying 4 individual alloys.

Hopefully they don't look stretched - I've seen quite a few CC3S looking stretched on alloys with the alloy poking out.

Going to give the new Goodyear Vector AS4 a shot on my polestar2, £650 for all 4 changed, they scored high in the current tests placing 1st in a few reviews for AllSeason tyres, if anyone wants a very good 5mm+ set of Michelin primacy 4 (245/45/19) give me a shout.

Solution to tyrewall bulge:
4x very lightly used (a few very light scratches on 2 wheels) 740M with brand new (week 31 2026) Goodyear UltraGrip Performance 3s (top rated recently on tyrereviews) for half the price BMW wanted for a set of 4 with some crappy run-flat winters.

I'll figure out what to do with the 22s in the spring. If i like the 740Ms, I might just get another set and sell the 22s as the ride isn't great and spending £300 every time I hit a bump in the road will bankrupt me.
