You can unlock fast travel points? The safe house things.
 
but they're few and far between.

Almost at the end now. I hope I can keep bimbling around afterwards mopping up side quests

Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure that if you search for and unlock all the safe houses on top of the regular fast travel stations, you end up able to fast travel to most areas. Also, if you are getting lost, are you activating your ECHO Location scan (press Z) as that literally shows you the way.

Got around to completing 3 but yet to do the DLC or more Tales. Worth giving this a go? Took me a while to get into 3 but did enjoy the story once it got going. Do miss Handsome Jack. I also play on my lonesome so don't get to do the big boss battles!
