WOAH! The story's just taken a massive twist! Haven't been reading the thread due to the new spoiler warning, but just where many games would have normally ended; it's all just hit the fan :D
 
I'm thoroughly enjoying the game. Working my way through it at a casual pace and trying to take in everything there is. I am currently on the shopping mall level and need to meet that crazy dude in Fleet Hall :p Visuals are stunning:eek:

I'm doing the same, taking my time on every level and searching everywhere. I have turned the guide arrow off so that it forces me to have to look around.

I think on my second run through I am going to go for all out wrench damage!:D I'll get all the tonics that make wrench combat better and beat the living daylights out of things:p

Easier than I expected. I just kept running around the piller, shotgun worked best for me.

Same here re: searching, also I'm using the wrench 80% of the time :p Electro Blast 3 and the wrench takes care of most enemies for me apart from the big daddies (crossbow pwns for them). :)
 
I just got a camera and now in this hall with loads of splicers and bloody security thing going off...impossible to get past....I might have to find a machine to swap enrage and then let them all go at it, or bullseye the security bot lol
harder than I thought this game :)
funny I have played most FPS games but this one makes me a little dizzy and nauseous for some reason....hilarious sitting here supping wine and thinking ooer

You don't have to but it would be a bit daft if you didn't. In neptune it is pretty easy to kill them because there are a few places you can go where the big daddies can't get to you.

I killed the first one but they take off my health like nothing on earth, they take ages to kill but the second one even though I was under the platform they still can shoot underneath, the shotty takes a lot of damage off as well. Any other tips?
 
I've only been killing the Big Daddy's if I think it's going to be easy. Since they don't do anything to hurt you unless you provoke them there doesn't seem to be much point after you've got all the sisters for the level. They seem like all-round nice guys to me. ;). Normally just make them fight for me instead :D

I am playing it on hard and they aren't that difficult, you just have to select a good place to initiate the fight. Find somewhere they can't get to you so all you have to do it take it out from a distance and duck behind cover from its shots at you, use all the grenades and proximity mines that you can. You can also try to fight it somewhere where there is a camera, machine gun turret or rocket launcher turret as these help a lot and also take its focus off of you so you are free to do some damage without taking any yourself.
 
Just completed it, Awesome game all the way through!!


**SPOILERS**

Anyone had 2 big daddies fighting each other with the control big daddy plasmid? It's a great spectacle and good for taking pics for bonuses.

I did find the big daddies a little too easy to kill on the last few levels though, electro shock + crossbow to the head works like a charm.

For me the best part of the game had to be setting traps. Nothing like a big pile of gas cylinders, fuel barrels (moved with telekinesis) and electro-trap bolts with a proximity mine at the center and luring a big daddy in with a decoy. :D

This game is so easy you dont die:p you just go back to thoes ryo tube things and you can run back to the fight without worry.
Love the game though, the graphics are brilliant.

Im playing on medium, setting I usually play any new game I get then I play hard next time round. But it takes so much of my health of with the shotty, I don't have mines. Alough he fired mines at me but I can't seem to pick them up with the telekenisis.

Play it on hard and get yourself into a Bigdaddy. I'm playing it on hard and the added difficulty is resourses, i never use the chambers, i reload saves

You cant pick them up you have to catch them as he throws them.
 
Been avoiding this thread for the last few days while i completed it so I didn't spoil the plot for myself. Just this minute completed it, and wow this is by far the best game i've played. Truly awesome :D
Now to go back and do it the other way.
 
I know this game lists the min requirements at a geforce 6600 or better etc... but is that the actual minimum? i ask because i have a gf fx5600u and a 1.3ghz amd xp, and have run games like oblivion, C&C3, HL2, etc.. all of which say the min spec is above that of my pc, yet my pc played them fine (Except oblivion, which took a fair bit of modding to make it work at a decent fps).
