New 991 Turbo S looks insanely fast for a standard car:-

Looks like 6s too 100mph, silly quick for a stock car, imagine it with a remap. :eek:

The official acceleration figures from Porsche are understated - it's even faster than they say it is. The control of the power is apparently even more impressive - it's mentally quick, but it's not edgy and dramatic about it. Chris Harris was messing about with one to see how fast he could do 0-60 with one hand on the wheel while drinking a bottle of coke. 3.0s. On a not particularly good surface. It'll do 0-60 in 2.8s on a good surface. Apparently a German mag tested it and got 6.2s for 0-100mph.

That's a bit silly, really. No wonder they're selling it for such a high price.

I know he did it with a 997 Turbo. I didn't know he'd done the same test with a 991 Turbo S.

The test had entertained him the first time so when he got to test the new car he did it again.

^ That's still a 997, albeit a Turbo S.
