It was always going to be a problem on the FE cards, you only have to look at any Pascal Titan review to see how it effects the cards.

Having said that water cooling transforms the cards.

received this yesterday morning and after 5 minutes i ordered a waterblock. Its like a turbo charged hairdryer. What overclocks are you guys getting under water?

Congratulations on the card. How much does thermal throttling effect the 1080Ti FE?

I'll try!, the card does seem to run slightly cooler for me with a 1/1 fan profile.
